A Different Form of Meeting

For this public meeting, we took a different approach. Upon arrival attendees were divided into small groups of three or four and circulated between the invited guests, for a time-limit of ten minutes per

guest, to hear about recent developments and have the opportunity to ask questions about any issues or concerns they had.

After one complete rotation, there was time for a small number of individual ‘one to one’ discussions before the meeting closed.

DERA could not monitor the topics of discussion since there were five groups circulating at any one time.

However, feedback was very positive from both guests and members and, on this basis, the procedure

will be repeated at one of our future public meetings.

Guests have been contacted to ensure that they follow up on any commitments they made to our attendees during their discussions.
