Lets hope the long range forecast stays true and we get a lovely sunny autumn day! Congratulations to our sevens rugby teams for their awesome performances and their great sporting conduct at their tournament last week. Our Witherlea Reds won the trophy again, and the Blues were placed 5 th overall in the year 5&6 competition. Also well done to our swimmers for their amazing attitude and effort, and the great performances they put in at the Primary SchoolsSwimming Sports. Our Kauri syndicate visits Waikawa marae tomorrow, and our Kowhai classes visit Picton and the Edwin Fox on Wednesday and Thursday. They will experience rich and meaningful learning from their ventures. Thank you to parents who are going along as support for the teachers and children. Our Board of Trustees meets next week – Tuesday 22 nd March in the resource room at 6.15pm. Interested people are welcome to attend. Please write name & room number on a piece of paper which should be placed in the box in your childs classroom together with the money by 9am. No late orders accepted. WITHERLEA SCHOOL CHOIR The 2016 Witherlea School Choir are currently practising for their performance in "The Celebration Showcase" on the evening of Thursday 31st March. This event is in association with the opening of our new ASB theatre. We are thrilled to have formed a large choir ( 99 students! ) and are looking forward to this memorable occasion. Parents/Caregivers of choir members will receive an update notice soon, relating to the key times and organisation associated with this event. Tickets for the performance are available from the existing theatre or Ticket Direct. Assembly: Fridays assembly will be at 2:30pm and for this week, will be held outside the school hall. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend. This weeks assembly will be hosted by Room 4 with presentations from Rooms 6 and 17. Witherlea School Gala Notice Raffle sheets – We need them back now! Give your parents a hand to sell tickets to family and friends and remember to get them back as soon as possible. Raffle sheets are due back by Wednesday 16 March at the latest. Lucky Key Lucky Keys are now on sale every day after School at the main gate this week. Each key is $5 and will give you the chance to win a tablet including case etc. Helpers needed! We are still on the hunt for a few extra hands. Do you have your name down to help on Gala day? We need everyone to give a couple of hours to make the event a success. All of our children will benefit from the funds raised. Working Bee Do you have a couple of hours free on Thursday evening from 7.30 – 9.30pm? We are having a Trash & Treasure Working Bee to help move and sort the items ready for Gala Day. Join us at the School Hall from 7.30pm onwards to get the job done! Cakes, Slices & Sweets Packaging is now available from the foyer at the School Office. Items can be dropped off on Saturday (10am – 1pm) Plants, Preserves and Produce Items can be dropped off on Saturday (10am – 1pm)

Blenheim Indoor Sports Holiday Programme and Easter Holiday Programme Sports based programme which keeps the kids active throughout the day. Running Easter Tuesday 29th March and Week days 18th – 22nd and 26th – 29th April 8.30am – 4pm or anytime you may require between these times. $26 full day, $14 half day, or $3.50 per hour per child.
