Introduction

It is an initiative taken up by Infosys to bridge the Gap between “What we teach” and “What Industry wants?”

Produce better Software Engineers by focusing on CORE Issues

More than 400 colleges are a part of the Campus Connect Program

The program has two parts –

FP (Foundation Program )

Soft Skills Training

FP is at the most 90 hours and Soft Skills program for 100 hours (subjected to change)

Course Objectives ( Foundation Program)

It covers 5 technical courses Introduction to Computer Systems ( ICS)Operating System Concepts ( OS)Problem Solving Techniques (PST)Programming & Testing ( P & T)Relationship Database Management Systems ( RDBMS)

Integrated Project Development

To touch on the CORE issues and study them in detail.

Offer Letters only to students who have done Campus Connect Program

Targeted students - 5th Semester for FP and 3rd Semester for soft Skills

The program is NOT Infosys Centric.

Course Objectives ( Foundation Program)

The program is meant for IT as well as non-IT students

55-65 hours of Class room work + 25-32 hours of Lab Work + Case Studies, Projects etc made available by Infosys

Question papers will be set based on the CAMP model C-Conceptual 20%A-Analytical 30%M-Memory Based 10%P-Practice Based 40%

Quizzes, Assignments, Group Discussions and Project work are the other modes of Evaluation

Participation certificate to students.

Inputs from the University

Create general awareness amongst the students HOW ? – A road show will be conducted by Infosys.

Create a Core Team Consisting of Members of Deans , HODs , Lecturers

Arrange Faculty and resources such as Separate Notice Boards, Lecture halls, Projectors, Space on Intranet to post content etc to run the Program Successfully.

Special Attention to Non- IT students

Course Roll out Plan

Step 1: Pre-Deployment:

Road Show.

Enrolment of students.

Identify the Faculty, Allocate Rooms and Resources.

Post all the study material on the Intranet

Plan the Batches and roll-out plan, how many days and how many hours etc

Step 2: Deployment: Review Students Performance

Review Test Papers with Infosys

Deliver Courseware

Post marks on Intranet and share the performance with Core Team and Infosys regularly

For projects top 10 IT students will be made group leaders for Non-IT students

Industrial Visit to Infosys Step 3: Post-Deployment:

Collect Feedback from Students

Counsel the students regarding any doubts

Preparation of Final Report and Certificates

Issue Certificates

Plan for next Roll-out

Scheduling of the program

During Summer Term ( 30 -35 working days - 3 hours a day)In the evening hours i.e. from 3-5pm as it is for 5 th semester students and their timings are from 8-3pmRolling out Multiple Batches
