Job Description

JOB TITLE: Finance & Administrative Officer (Maternity Cover)

SALARY: £17,072 - £18,746 Pro-rata

RESPONSIBLE TO: Finance Manager

HOURS: 28.50 (Hours to be reviewed after 3 months)

LEAVE: 26 Days + Bank Holidays Pro-rata OVERVIEWIDAS is the largest specialist domestic abuse charity in Yorkshire providing innovative and responsive support services to people affected by or escaping domestic abuse and sexual violence. We are now recruiting for a Finance/Admin officer to join our busy office.

OVERALL OBJECTIVESTo ensure the smooth running of administrative and financial systems across the whole company.

PARTICULAR TASKS OF THE POSTHOLDER

Financial Administration

To be responsible for inputting all transactions onto the Finance System (SAGE 50 Accounts).

To be responsible for checking and coding all supplier invoices and resolve queries with suppliers.

To assist with Month End accounts.

To collect monies and do petty cash reconciliation for the Refuges. This requires travelling to our different sites once a month.

To count the laundry money and take all monies to the bank.

To assist with the monthly rent and charges reconciliations and monitor voids for the refuges

To check and process mileage expenses.

To assist with Payroll

Administration

To control and monitor the company assets such as laptops and mobile phones.

To lease with our phone provider with any issues regarding our invoices.

To assist with any general IT issues

Case Management System (OASIS) and Office 365

General admin including, to issue new emails and login details access for new staff and remove them when they leave.

To enter new staff details and keep all staff details up to date.

Internal and External Liaison and communication

To attend team meetings.

To positively participate in training, supervision and annual appraisals.

Other

To comply with IDAS policies and procedures

To participate in fundraising activities.

To undertake all other tasks requested by the Finance Manager and/or Director within the remit of the role.
