could not demonstrate melt coolability outside the RPV.
„The case of basemat penetration“
Therefore, in future reactors core catcher would be needed, e.g. COMET or melt retention, cooling, stabilisation is to be demonstrated within RPV
Second option needs better understanding of late core degradation phenomena, evaluation of coolability of partly degraded cores modeling of related phenomena for PSA
