At Wentworth, Homecoming is a regal affair that brings back Old Boys

and memories of days gone by

Crowning a Wentworth student queen made the 1994 festivities that much brighter under the Harvest Moon. Daniela Sanchez, WMA junior and daughter of Mr. Gonzalo Sanchez and Mrs. Lourdes Rivero, Mexico City, Mexico, oversaw a heartbreaking loss to Kemper in the final quarter of the game.

Traditions were followed from the Friday night bonfire to the Alumni gathering that

same evening. Saturday saw the dedication of Groendyke Hall, Tillotson Hall and Wilson Hall followed by the parade through the streets of Lexington. The Student Union now bears the name of WMA Oklahoma alum John Groendyke who was present for the unforgettable moment.

The queen, sponsored by Cadet 1st SGT Carlos Melo, was joined by her court.

Alpha Company: This Calgon Vietnam is over, and now is the

time to remember all the things we can't do anymore. I know I lived a lifetime worth of friendships here with you, and I'll never forget any of you. For some reason you made me strong when I was weak, and supported me when I was falling. And so, for that I'll always be there for you when trouble comes a callin'. No matter where you go in life, always remember, you take with you the mighty "Wewo" and the stupor cry of Alpha!

Know now that it's ok to talk to yourself, and there is nothing wrong with laughing, even when the world is crumbling down around you.

Let em know whoz in da hizouse... make dem foolz recognize! Next year, if things get tough or go terribly wrong, sit back, and think, "What would T-Dawg do . . ." and everthing will be chill.

Allright, this Afro is outee here in da nine-cinco!

Captain T-Dawg

Charlie Company: It was a long year, but we made the best out of it.

Now it is time to go home and let the good memories stay with you. We did many things and we did them all together. We were the best company, we never let anybody put us down and those who did got Bush.

The school year 94-95 was a very good year, we went through many bad things but we got over them and they made us strong.

This year we brought the Charlie tradition back, this should make you very proud. We were the best that the 115th corps had and we reprecented the school very well, by winning two drill meets, by helping a needy family, and by winning more parades than ever. The discipline, the company unity, and the pride, were the keys and I hope that you keep them for the rest of your life, and do not forget that you got it from Charlie.

Do not forget that wher ever you go you will not be along the Charlie memories will be there to make you proud.

Dear Delta, We have had good times in the past as well as bad ones. As this

year comes to a close, I sit in my room and remember them all. The things that I remember will always be with me and no one can take them away. In the beginning, I had second thoughts about taking this job and leading a bunch of teenage boys, but now I am glad that I did it because it has shown me alot about myself as well as it taught me alot on how to deal with people better. I am proud to have had the chance to be your company commander and each and every one of you should be proud to be in this company. All of you are special and unique in your own way. All of you are capable of doing anything you set your minds to. I have seen many of you mature and grow and improve yourselves over the last year. Never stop learning, developing, or growing. Our numbers were great at the beginning of the year, but as we close, we are down to a few. Some of those who left, left by choice, others were forced for whatever reason, but it doesn't matter why, they were still our brother and a DAWG, no matter where they are.

Many of us will not be returning to Wentworth next year, but those of you who do need to remember the traditions from the past and pass them on so that you can improve upon them and be the best that there is.

As I said before, this year has been tough for us all in our own way, but we came together and accomplished a lot and over came many obstables. You will remember the good times, but you will really remember the bad times. The PT parties and the little speeches I use to give-those are what you will remember.

I wish you all the best of luck in every thing you do. Brothers Forever Dawgs for Life.

CPT Sternberg

Echo Company: Echo Eagles; fighting, scratching, clawing sir! This is a phrase

that a person could live by. When I, as your company commander, started out this year, I held the position of Command Sergeant Major. But then, the great experiment called "Echo Company" was created. Echo Company needed a company commander that would be willing to put forth the time and effort to make a brand new company work, so they chose me "Captian Cass".

When the company was first formed, I didn't know whether Echo would actually come together to be a company, but look what happened. Echo Company became a disciplined group of cadets that learned to work together and love each other, through all the rough times. All the RAT's, "I'm sure", felt very lucky knowing that the ex-RAT Master was now their company commander. I know that I was hard on the RAT's, but later in life you will know that all the pain, sweat and tears was worth it all; because I know that even the worst of the cadets will someday make fine young men. Speaking of worst cadets, remember RAT Coker singing "I Was All By Myself," at the lip synch contest with just a pair of longjohns. Remember the RAT's, the only people that really could ask a stupid question. They would ask a question in the company meeting area after I just spent ten minutes explaining what was happening the next day.

Most of all, remember each other, the friends you make now will be your friends for life. You will never have an opportunity like the one you had at this school again, to learn, to make friends and to have fun! Please never forget where you came from and who helped you to get where you are now. Never Forget!

Echo Company—Attention "look straight ahead", Dis-Missed!!!!!

To all my Foxtroters: Nine months ago you ail sat in the grass beside our barracks to

meet me for the first time. I told you all that you were a cadet at Wentworth but a family member of Foxtrot. I told you about the Basore Award and that it took dedication from everyone to win. Every heart had to desire to be the best. But most of all I told you that once the year was over we would earn the respect of the faculty, the Corps, and most importantly ourselves. That we would prove that we are a company of cadets with pride and respect and not animals.

Well gentlemen, this year was big for us, for we were the largest company on campus with 60 cadets. We marched in step, stood tall at attention, and sounded off with pride so pure that we turned every head in the Corps. They knew from the beginning that Foxtrot was different, that we were here to stay and no one would take us without a fight.

Gentlemen, I am proud of each and every one of you. We may not be able to say we had the least amount of tours, the best grades, or all the guidons but we can be proud of ourselves and the fact that we held it together till the end. We started the year as a company and we marched into the final parade as a company.. We earned the respect we for years were denied and have gave birth to cadets who will soon lead the Corps. So until that day continue to strive for the best, work hard, and never let the spirit of Foxtrot die within your heart. Never forget to respect one another and earn your rewards through honesty and hard work. And if I should ever pass you by somewhere and ask, "Where are my Foxtroters?", as you always do, stand tall, hold your head up high, suck your stomach in and sound off with that beloved phrase we live by, "STAY AND FIGHT SIR!"

I love you all and am proud to have been your commander,

CPT Bryan Chubinsky

Dear Friends, It's interesting to look back at the year when everything is said

and done. I find myself doing that quite a bit towards the end of the term. We started as a group of young men and women, many unsure of our direction and reason of being here. You had briefly heard of something called the Basore Award, but your thoughts and efforts were overrun by your simple attempts to survive. In the beginning I saw only a physical group to which very little about the school or Company was important. But your officers and NCOs wouldn't let you quit, they would not accept (as "Doc" says,) mediocrity.

HQ seems to always be the butt of everybody's joke. What the misinformed and undisciplined don't realize is that their ridicule and spite is the essence of our TEAM. It is what brought you all together...your need for companionship to "just get by" turned into your need to outshine the rest and become the best company of the 115th.

"Lead, follow or get out of the way!" HQ might be rather silent at times, but in many cases that's the more professional way. There were times that you could have acted as everyone else, but you refused to make fools of yourselves and a mockery of YOUR Company. Asa team you're willing to admit wrong and stand up for what is right and just. I am a very proud Company Commander and 1 will never thank the Lord enough for giving me the experience to serve with each and every one of you.

We became more than friends, more than a company...we became a closely knit family willing to stick up for each other and accepting nothing but the truth. I have but one bit of advice for those of you who return to Headquarters next year and years to come. As a leader always show compassion and be ready to be a shield for your subordinates. As a subordinate be ready and willing to defend your leaders. For "evil can only triumph if good men do nothing."

ALWAYS ROCKIN' STEADY HQ! I LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET YOU TONY J. BEHRENS C/CPT WMA

To the 115th Corps of Cadets of Wentworth Military Academy:

It has been a long road, but the road has finally found its end. As I look at the things we have accomplished in this short time together in our lives, I see that there are things we did that were positive for our school. And through all the changes we stuck together to make our school a better place.

I have some advise to all the new leaders. There are some problems that can be fixed, and some that are plainly out of your control that you will be expected to fix. It is your job to fix as many problems as you can. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try or how much experience you have, everyone is human and not perfect, so error is inevitable. The only thing you can do...is "do".

Good luck! And God speed!
