1. Traffic monitors for safety of children, pedestrians,

bicyclists

2. At peak AM period: Shuttle bus from 150 Oak (KG

and PK4 w/siblings at 150 Oak)

3. At peak AM period: Shuttle bus from alternate

location for children to ride with their parents to

avoid need for parking near site (primarily PK3/PK4)

4. Staffed White Curb Zone – to facilitate drop off (KG

only at start of school year) … also at pick-up

5. Staggered start/end times and transport options by

age group to reduce congestion

Shuttle Bus

• Chartered service from our main location at

150 Oak street – primarily for KG and PK4

siblings with staff to supervise. Departure at

8am (based on current feedback)

• Service will also include a loop to an offsite

location where parents can board the bus

WITH their younger children for ride to 1155

Page and back to original location (primarily

PK3, PK4). Maintaining this service will be

dependent on ridership

No fee for first two months of School, … perhaps

longer … while results , ridership reviewed

• Team of dedicated traffic monitors for traffic

management and unloading at a white zone:

– Currently serve 70+ young students at 42 Waller with 75

foot white zone on two way street

– Currently serve 60+ cars per 20 minutes at main

campus with 140 foot white zone on one-way street

• Some nearby offsite parking options for parents

– Mornings

– Afternoons

• Early Drop off available at 7:30am and late pickup

until 6:00 reduces peak traffic load
