JDRCP RECEIVES GRANT FROM THE COMMUNITY INITIATIVES FUND ON DECEMBER 1, 2015
This grant funding will help offset operating expenses of the program and allow us to provide nutritious snacks for our before and after school students. This will also ensure that our
fees are not increased for the rest of this year, keeping the fees affordable for parents of students attending John Diefenbaker School.
On behalf of our board, staff, parents and students we thank the Community Initiatives grant program in support of our before and after school program. We appreciate it!!!!!

*****Home Alone Program***** This program is designed for 10 year olds by the Canada Safety Council to provide children with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied. This course takes approximately 3 hours and focuses on small group discussions, problem-solving, role playing, and instructor led demonstrations. Deciding when children are mature enough to be at home on their own is an important judgment for the parent.
Next course date: Sunday April 24th 1pm-3:30pm Cost: $25 (includes manual and certificate)
