Dear Amitabh:

I sincerely wish you had ascertained the facts before accepting the accusationsagainst the Director/Dean of IIMA and IIMA and giving it currency. I would notat the moment like to say anything on the matter, except attaching the order issuedby the information commissioner in April 2010 on Mr. Ketan Bhat's filings against theInstitute. More specifically, I would draw your attention to point no. 10 in theorder.

I also understand that you have circulated a similar communication to IIT Kanpuralum groups. That is indeed unfortunate. I am proud of being an alum of two greatinstitutions - IITK and IIMA. I would not do anything that is even remotely inimicalto rights of an individual to be treated fairly by an organization.

interactions with him even before and he had send me many documents through whichhe wanted to show some kind of partisan and discriminatory stand being taken by theDirector of IIMA and some other faculty/ staff members. To quote a few relevant portions of the long mail Sri Bhatt has sent me-

1. Since many months, I am forced to use SpeedPost to write to my ownDean/Director. They do NOT reply to any of my letters/ emails.2. The letter to Director, IIMA which was refused by his staff is attached. 9minute audio record of my visit to Director's office is also attached.3. Director and Dean have issued instructions to their staff NOT to acknowledgereceipt of my letters4. Yesterday (03-Aug) I took a day off specifically for writing attached letter(100803 Ketan 2 Director.pdf) to Director. When I went to submit my letter andrequested acknowledgement receipt on second copy, staff refused to comply becauseof standing instructions from Director himself. They even refused to make entryinto inward register diary because Director expects employees to leave theircommunications on personal faith on his office staff.5. Ironically, whenever Dean/ Director send me letters, their staff invariably takecare to procure my signed acknowledgement for their record. Morals? Ethics??Propriety???

I am sure all of you will agree that if these facts are true then this is blatantlywrong and call be called illegal as well. This is particularly relevant in a casewhere Sri Bhatt is openly making accusations against the Director and others.As the saying goes- Caesar's wife must be above suspicion..Thus without commenting on the rest of the matter, I would sincerely request all ofyou to kindly look into the matter and help ending this anomalous situation.
