Welcome to the start of the 10th Anniversary of Liberty North High School! I am excited to introduce our new and existing families to Eagle Club – our school’s PTSA/Booster Club organization. Below is a bit of information to familiarize you with who we are and how you can get involved! WHAT DOES EAGLE CLUB DO? Because we are a PTSA organization, we follow the bylaws and principles of the National and Missouri PTA organizations, however, we are also the booster club organization for the school, which means we provide support to all clubs, sports and activities at LNHS. Whether your child is involved in soccer, football, basketball, cheer, band, theater, choir, or the dozens of other clubs and activities at LNHS, Eagle Club assists them with managing their group’s funds under our non-profit status, providing funding for special requests, awarding scholarships to graduating seniors, managing fundraising and concessions, awarding teacher grants to our deserving staff, and much more. HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER AND WHAT DOES IT COST? We have numerous opportunities to join Eagle Club. You can visit our membership table at registration and the many other back to school activities that will take place, or you can also access the membership form on the Eagle Club page of the LNHS website and in this packet. There are membership levels for every budget, and each one gives you a vote in our organization, as well as many other fun perks and incentives. WHEN DOES EAGLE CLUB MEET? We meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in the LNHS Library Media Center, starting with our first meeting on August 14th – the first day of school. We meet every month during the school year except December. Everyone is welcome, and we keep all attendees informed of what is happening at LNHS, ways you can get involved, and any other important information to be shared by our school administration. WHAT IF I CAN’T COME TO MEETINGS BUT WANT TO GET INVOLVED OR CONTRIBUTE? There are opportunities for all parents – whether you have a lot of time to give or very little. We will send out various requests throughout the year, but you are also welcome to email me and tell if you have a special talent or interest. We will find a place for you! Check out the “Our School” tab of the LNHS website to find more Eagle Club information. Again, welcome to a new and exciting year! I look forward to working with our wonderful families, students and staff! Go Eagles! Leslie Young Eagle Club President [email protected]
