And Renewed Spirit
O n the occasion of the birth of Mary,
Mother of Jesus, on September 8,
2016, the CICM-Republic of the Phi-
lippines Provincial General Very Rev. Fr. Ramon R.
Caluza, CICM, the SLU Parish Priest and VP for
Mission and Identity Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Mani-
wang, CICM, the SLU President Rev. Fr. Gilbert B.
Sales, CICM, and other CICM priests assigned in
the various mission stations in Northern Philip-
pines, His Excellency Most Rev. Carlito J. Cenzon,
CICM D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Baguio, led
the zealously awaited blessing and dedication of
the new Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish Church in
the SLU Main Campus along Bonifacio St.
Full of excitement, silence, awe, and
solemnity, the congregation gathered at the fa-
cade of the new church witnessed the rite of
blessing and dedication which commenced at the
main door of the revered church. It was
The Eucharistic celebration concluded
with a message of inspiration from Very Rev.
Fr. Caluza. He emphasized the importance of
starting and ending the day in the campus in
the sacred space with God, the Church. He
prayed that this sacred space be a place of
love, reconciliation, and commitment. He
thanked Bishop Cenzon for his commitment to
respond to the needs of the parish. He com-
mended Rev. Fr. Sales for doing an excellent
job. To Rev. Fr. Maniwang, he encouraged him
to keep up the good work. Finally, he ap-
pealed to all who participated in the celebra-

of the altar was done by Rev. Fr. Luisito D. Divino,
CICM, the Rector at the Home Sweet Home, Ba-
guio City. The festivity ended with the sumptuous
meal served at the Prince Bernhard Gym. —

Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Signing Ceremony and Outcomes Based Education (OBE) Sys-

“PLANT NATIVE GROW NATIVE” RAINFORESTATION. In sup-
port of Plant Native Grow Native Rainforestation Project, 112
pairs of rain boots were donated by RASLU (Retirees Association
of SLU) and CWL (Catholic Women’s League– Diocese of Baguio)
to SLU-NSTP. The turnover ceremony was done during the
regular monthly meeting of RASLU held last September 3, 2016.
