Our rating & descriptionThe Castle is located in the heart of the Chianti district, just 17 km from

Florence, near Mercatale, on the road to Siena through nine towns of

the Chianti Classico San Casciano and Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Greve,

Gaiole, Radda and Castellina in Chianti, Barberino Val d’Elsa, Casteln-

uovo Berardenga, Poggibonsi. Chianti is an ancient territory, of dazzling

beauty, the dawn of history already inhabited by the Etruscans and Ro-

mans, who alternates between forested hills and vineyards.

The Castle is surrounded by hills where this huge fresco blend the col-

ors of the vineyards and the olive tree, the soft green of the mead-

ows and the most intense of the surviving pines, cypresses and woods,

handfuls of yellow broom, the expanses golden fields of grain, ocher

and brown tones of the land worked by the ancient wisdom of Tuscan

peasants, decorated by the mosaic of vineyards and dry-stone walls,

mottled lavender of the irises, the chapels and shrines in the country

This is a medieval castle of 1200, historic house, with a large park and

an Italian garden, placed in the Chianti countryside among vineyards,

olive groves and ancient churches, ideal for receptions, weddings, con-

ferences, exhibitions, meetings in San Casciano Val di Pesa, just 17 km

from Florence.

We are the inheritors of an ancient dynasty of a Florentine family, and as

well we are a Florentine family since before 1200.

It offers a wide range of spaces to satisfy every need for individuals,

companies, professional associations and others. Private party, wed-

dings, conferences, private events, fashion shows, birthday party, bridal

showers, meetings and dinners...

They are ideal in all seasons, cool in summer and warm in winter, enjoy-

ing Chianti’s specialties and drinking the excellent local wines.

WeddingsThe beautiful central courtyard and the adjacent loggia, perfect for a

summer event, in the shadow of the medieval tower of the thirteenth

century, accommodating up to 180 people with table service. Ideal for

any outdoor event, a gala or buffet dinner, a cocktail, fashion shows, a

coffee break or a dancing party.

It can be adapted to your every need: set up with tents, removable cov-

ers, tables and chairs. The central courtyard has a width of 185 sqm.

The Loggia has a width of 50 square meters. Very good acoustics for

every type of musical event.

In the private chapel, inside the courtyard, can be celebrated weddings

and private functions for up to 20 people.

The Italian garden and the park shaded by ancient trees, with a large

central fountain, overlooking the beautiful countryside of Chianti, are

ideal for any type of event (cocktail, lunch or dinner) and extremely ver-

satile with great surfaces.
