Abstract

Yes, my organization has a robust IT Governance framework. There are several

manifestations of IT Governance at my workplace, as described below.

• My organization has its own IT principle, laying down the business role of IT in the firm,

and the purpose for which it will be used. The same can be found in the company policy

documents

• The policy documents also speak about the desired level of IT architecture that the company

wishes, in terms of organizing logic for data applications, relationships, technical choices,

and standardization and integration requirements (Sharma, Stone, & Ekinci, 2009).

• The documents also speak about the IT infrastructure which the company wishes to

maintain, in order to support the company’s IT capabilities

• The company has assigned a proper accountability framework where the Chief Information

officer takes important decisions on the IT architecture, infrastructure and application needs.

• Lastly, the company’s policy documents explicitly speak about the role of the executive

committee to take important IT investment and prioritization decisions, in order to fund the

IT infrastructural and business application needs, so as to satisfy the objectives set by the IT

principle (Sharma, Stone, & Ekinci, 2009).
