Agenda - Recap

33
HiQ - What’s It Good For?
> “Narrow” point of view...
> … HiQ reveals the percentage of “highly-qualified” educators for reporting to USDOE and the State of Georgia
34
HiQ - What’s It Good For?
> Thinking outside of the box...
> … HiQ exposes mis-alignment of teaching credentials to subjects/grades being taught
35
HiQ - “Alignment”
> Opportunities for realignment of teaching assignments
> Opportunities for professional development when available workforce lacks sufficient credentials
36
HiQ - “What-if”...
> HiQ might be used by a school system to compare the current workforce to future needs
> HiQ might be used by a teacher to ask
“what can I teach” right now…
“what could I teach if”...
37
HiQ - “What-if”...
> An “expanded” HiQ might ask...
Where are we assigning educators out-of-field? (Not limited to those teaching NCLB core subjects)
