● Six hundred twenty four acres of land bury the dead of the Nation’s conflicts beginning with the American Civil War as well as those who served other wars or who have contributed to our country.

● This memorial honors 16 million men who fought in WWII. 3315 were from Louisiana.● More than 400,000 men died during that war.
