Eng.,WWII Veteran-It is with love and much sadness that we announce Gord's passing, in his 84th year, on October 24th, 2007, at MUMC in Hamilton, after a very courageous battle w i t h C O P D. G o r d v i e w e d l i f e a s a b a n q u e t w h i l e m o s t p e o p l e w e r e choosing to starve. He filled his life with extensive world travel, strong friendships, volunteerism, animal and environmental protect ion, and a love of h istory and l i terature. He was an extremely proud D-Day veteran. His kindness, generosity, and quick wit will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially Glor ia, soul mate and love of his l i fe, his beloved children Vivian (David McColl), Mar tin (Wendy Joy Bird), Mary (Wayne Lilley), Katharine, and grandchildren Andrew and G r a h a m M c C o l l , E r i n a n d J a c o b Hamayda, and James Par tr idge, sister M a r j o r i e S p o o n e r, a n d n i e c e s a n d nephews. C o n t r i b u t i o n s t o s o c i e t y included the Dawn Patrol in Hamilton;co-owner of Especially Cats in Oakville;Port Dover Lions; and Port Dover Legion Branch 158.
