Commander’s Corner

FRG Corner

Dear C Troop families, I would like to take the opportunity to give you a synopsis of the past month, as well as some information about the upcoming months and the way ahead for the troop. This past month, we have been focused on preparation for the Expert Infantryman’s Badge. For the month of June, we will be conducting training and testing for the Expert Infantryman’s Badge (EIB). We will focus on EIB individual task training, followed by EIB testing.

River Fest, a yearly event, will take place on June 21st. It is a terrific event in Alexandria Bay that captures the essence of summer in the North Country. Tickets are available at the MWR window in Clark Hall. The last week of June brings Mountain Fest. This day long festival takes place at Fort Drum on the 28th and includes events, a concert, physical fitness competitions, and a memorial service.

Captain Locke

There is still no replacement FRG Leader. In the meantime, a spouse will be send-ing out emails and posting information on the Facebook page. Meetings will still be held, and key callers will be active. The newsletter, email, and the Charlie Troop Facebook page will be the main methods of distributing information. Key callers will continue to call monthly. If you need assistance and are not sure where to go, please contact your key caller. If you or someone you know does not have a key caller, or you would like to volunteer with the FRG, please send a message to the Charlie Troop email ([email protected]).

Thank you all for your patience as we go through this transition period!
