As Tiger Day approached, the prediction of rain moved some of the more popular games inside. Many students expected for Tiger Day not to be as fun as it has in the past. Seventh grader Sarah Youngblood, liked how Tiger Day was inside. "I liked having the games inside because there was air conditioning," Youngblood said. "I'm not a big fan of sweating. The worst thing that happened was that I never won a cupcake when I played Musical Chairs." Fortunately, there was no rain to be seen on Tiger Day and most students were relieved. Sixth grader Chloe Wright was nervous that the rain would ruin her first Tiger Day. "I got kind of got scared when I heard that Tiger Day could be rained out, but when it didn't I got excited," Wright said. "My favorite part about the day was when I got my face painted and my hair [colored]." Eighth grader Saad Rafiq thinks that the school should have had all the games outside. "My least favorite thing about Tiger Day was that the cool games were not outside," Rafiq said. "I think that we should have not listened to the weather." This was the first Tiger Day experience for sixth grader Eleanor Corbett. "I think Tiger Day could be inside or outside and still be a lot of fun," Corbett said. "The only thing I didn't like was that the lines were long and there was no car bash." TIger Day is a way for students to relax and have fun with their friends while raising money for their teacher's classrooms. This day at the school will remain one of the most popular events.
