Our PVC/PVDF Mesh facades are amaz-ing forms of art. They can become the most expressive component of a

building while allowing superior thermal in-sulation. A vast arrange of colors and forms grant our team the potential to bring iconic facades from imagination to reality.

PTFE is used worldwide as the preferred ma-terial for large-scale permanent structures with specific construction code compliance

requirements. PTFE has excellent weather, tem-perature and chemical resistance in addition to its durability and strength. PTFE varies in trans-lucency from 7% to 15% and reflects between 68%-75% of incident sunlight. The quality of light transmitted is color balanced, diffused and free of shadows and glare.

The only one of its kind in North America. It is a controlled environment fabrication facility created by Dünn out of the need to

offer a reliable option to the growing need for ETFE projects. Built in early 2015, over 600,000 ft2 of ETFE film have been fabricated in our fa-cility to this date.

At Dünn we execute complex ETFE projects anywhere in the world; we combine our ex-clusive top of the line fabrication equipment with our highly specialized staff in design, fabrication and installation.

10

Dünn’s PTFE LAB emerged through the need of working with the most ad-vanced material in worldwide light-

weight Architecture. Its unique specifications include strength, durability and safety. For cuting and joining PTFE pieces a controlled wide space is needed since the processes in-volved are very laborious and complex. This is why Dünn’s team built America’s first PTFE Lab, a specialized over 5000m2 laboratory to work this remarkable material.

11

We are the only fabric architecture com-pany with our own dedicated steel fabrication facility. Our expert team

guarantees our clients quality and service throughout the entire process while delivering seamlessly successful projects.

12

Dünn holds a platinum certificate by The North American Security Program CS-Safety in Construction.

This certificate evaluates the effectiveness of the contractors and the type of work performed. It also provides an objective as it relates to assessment of knowledge, skills, and compe-tences previously acquired.

For Rafael Coronel Museum, Dünn made a lightweight struc-ture which had to be easily supported by a building more than 400 years old. Besides being a historical building pro-

tected by INAH, the structure as well as the works had to be both very sensitive. Dünn proposed use ETFE, due to its transparency, lightness, aesthetics, low maintenance and ability to withstand loads of wind, rain and even snow.

21

R afael Coronel Museum’s ETFE cover is an extraordinary work, which meets the aesthetic requirements imposed on

Dünn: to keep the views visible from the interiors of the nave, protecting it from cli-matic events. Dünn accomplished both the structure design as well as the installation. Besides, Dünn complied with strict INAH regulations and with those of the authori-ties in charge of preservation of historical buildings.

All these structures and decks were sub-jected to exhaustive tests against hurri-canes, due to the meteorological charac-teristics of the region. In addition the work had to be performed at night, to respect the team’s training schedule.

HOTEL

To cover the office area of the One Plaza Hotel, Dünn made a MESH fa-cade in order to function as a sun screen. This cover creates an air space between the glass and the cover, which helps to decrease the tempera-

ture inside the building.

The facade has 12m long panels that allow to receive adequate natural light-ing and to transmit a pleasant feeling to the interior of the offices.
