Welcome to our church. We’re pleased to have you worship with us today. If you are a visitor or if there is a special way we may serve you, plea se let us know by filling out a “Welcome” card from the Bible rack in front of you and placing it in the offering plate. David Gaulten - Today we welcome guest Worship Leader David Gaulten, his wife Leah, and his pianist, Koji Miyakawa. They have traveled from Los Angeles to bless us wi th their music. His music CD”s and other ite ms are available to pick in the lobby (purchase) on the honor system. Full information is in the lobby at the gift table. Enjoy the music! YP SOS Sandwiches on Saturday Event  Today - We’re making the lunches this morning at 9:45 in the kitchen. We’ll have Bib le study clas s at 10:30, then meet after Open Door in the lobby . We’ll h ead out to various n eighborhoods to pass out the lunches ,then meet afterwards for a sack lunch picnic of our own. Bring whatever you want for a fun lunch in the park. Ben Vega Concert -  Tonight, June 25, 7:30 pm in the chapel.  (Note time change) Ben Vega will give a concert in the chapel tonight beginning at 7:30 pm. Ben writes his own music and lyrics, plays all the instruments, and synthesizes all the sounds on his CDs, which will be available for purchase after the concert. The music will be original Christian compositions. This is a family-oriented evening so feel free to nvite your friends. Mom’s Club - Our next event is this coming Tues, June 28, at 10 am at the home of Jenae Silvestri. We had a great time last Tuesday, but if you didn’t make it, come and join us this week. Its the perfect place for frazzled moms and energetic kids . Also, put the family picnic on your calendar. Its scheduled for Sun July 10, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, location to be determined. Contact Jenae at [email protected] for details. Heritage Singers in Concert - On Sat July 9 our church will host the Heritage Singers for their 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert. The concert will begin at 7 pm and will be held in the sanctuary. This will be a great family event and is, of course, free. There are flyers at the deacon’s table so you can invite folks to atte nd. Their music will be available for purchase in the lobby after the concert. Details contact the church office. Disaster Response Meeting - Thurs July 7 at 6:30 pm in the library. This group continues to meet and plan for the church and community in the event of a natural disaster. Anyone can come to hear how the church is prepared, and to learn how to prepare for themselves. For more information contact Greig Rose at [email protected] et. Craft Group - July 12, 3-6 pm in the fellowship hall on Sunday. Led by Barbara Goodman. Lila Douthit - Many of you remember Lila Douthit, much-loved longtime member of this church. Lilah went to sleep in Jesus on Monday, June 20 at Skyline Healthcare Center in San Jose. Her daughter, Carol Gillespie, was at her side as she passed away. Lilah began attending Sunnyvale church over 18 years ago when she moved to this area after the death of her husband, Paul. She will be buried next to him in Arkansas. There will be a memorial service for Lilah at Sunnyvale church, details pending.
