Upcoming events! New Prayer Requests: t Pray for healing for Don Lawton and Dick Harig who had

outpatient surgeries last week.

t Pray for healing for Judy Timmer’s nephew, Mike Schlaack,

who was diagnosed with leukemia 6 months ago and was just

given around 2 months to live. After that prognosis, he was

accepted into a clinical trial that may prolong his life but he

is now having a severe reaction to the new drug used in the trial so it has

been temporarily stopped.

t Pray for God’s divine healing of Al Anderson.

t Praise the Lord that Ken Lentz is doing better and had his feeder tube

removed last week.

Continued Prayer Requests: t For continued healing for all who have had recent illnesses, surgeries

and medical procedures.

t For the homebound: Mary Carmichael, Judy Blauwkamp, Kay Everett,

Nelvie VanKampen and Barb Kroll.

t For all marriages in the church - that those that are strained may be

restored and that the healthy marriages may grow even stronger.

t For all the singles in our church - that they would find friends at

church and the Lord would sustain them in their lonely moments.

t For our safety for our military troops all over the world.

t For our country and that we, as a nation, will turn to Christ for guidance.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR WOMEN’S MINISTRY

“HEART 2 HEART MINISTRIES” The mission of the Heart 2 Heart ministry is: Women investing in the lives

of each other through wisdom, mutual encouragement and friendship. The

goal is to form strong and lasting relationships in Christ that are a source

of support, growth and strength. We see our mandate from Titus 2:3-5,

which places the responsibility on mature and godly women to teach and

disciple younger women in the faith.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor/mentee, sign ups will begin in

August. We are looking for women of all ages and all walks of life. You

don’t have to be PERFECT or make a huge time commitment to come along

side another lady for the year. We are just looking for women who want

to share life with other women in a mentoring setting.

Heart 2 Heart is also looking for a coordinator for the fall. If you have a

desire to see women mentoring women, please contact Dawn VandenBrink

at [email protected] or 399-9776.
