» SPITSBERGEN Northern lights, solar eclipseand dog sledging

Spitsbergen in early 2015 could possibly seeone of the best displays by the Northern Lights, during their 11 year solar cycle. We can also highly recommend Isfjord Radio, aformer telecommunications station 90km fromLongyearbyen, now a boutique hotel.Alternatively, The Trapper’s Hotel in the heartof Longyearbyen, decorated with objects thatillustrate past and current trappers’ lives in theArctic, is close to popular sightseeing attractionssuch as the Svalbard Museum.

Why not combine viewing the Northern Lightswith a week’s dog sledging in Arctic Norway? There may still be time to book our expeditionsfor February, March and April and our dogs arepanting with excitement at the thought!
