(GAPA) History of Humans and Animals. Old topic – New Data, Methods, and Interpretations 28 th September to 1 st October, 2014, Toruń, Poland In 2014 the Gesellschaft für Archäozoologie und Prähistorische Anthropologie e.V. (GAPA) celebrates its 20 th anniversary. The topic of the current meeting focuses on the fundamentals of our association: the history of humans and animals. This topic has been a field of interest for many generations of scientists and is still a fascinating, attractive and up-to-date discipline. The GAPA presents a platform for exchange of “old” knowledge and current research results, with a special opportunity for young scientists at the beginning of their career in the field of archaeozoology and anthropology to present their findings. We therefore invite you all to celebrate with us the anniversary of the GAPA and to contribute to our conference in Toruń, Poland, with new data, methods and interpretations. Papers can be contributed as oral presentations of about 15- 20 minutes (depending on the number of contributions) and / or as poster presentations (poster size DIN A0). Conference languages are English and German. We plan to have three days of scientific sessions and a further day for a guided excursion around the area of Kulmerland with its amazing sightseeing places, reporting the fascinating culture and history of the region. Organising comity: Scientific comity: Dr. Daniel Makowiecki (chairman) Prof. Janusz Piontek Dr. Stefan Flohr Prof. Wojciech Chudziak Dr. Agnieszka M. Noryśkiewicz Dr. hab. Mirosław Makohonienko
