ALSO, CEREAL IS ALWAYS NEEDED AS WELL AS CANNED FOODS. AND AGAIN, THANK YOU.  OUTREACH CAN NOT BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT YOUR GENEROUS HELP!!!  NANCY AND PAUL O'SULLIVAN, TRINITY OUTREACH

TAIZÉ PRAYER by Kim GroveThe final Taizé Prayer of the 2015-2016 season is Sunday, April 17th. Please join us at 5 p.m. for a service of prayer, song, and contemplation. This service has developed into an important outreach ministry for our parish to the community at large.Taizé Prayer is based on an ancient Christian principle expressed by Brother Roger, a founding member of the Taizé community in France: “Nothing is more conducive to a communion with the living God than a meditative common prayer with, at its high point, singing that never ends and that continues in the silence of one’s heart when one is alone again.” The focal point of this communion is the cross - the symbol of God’s saving presence in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our season of Taizé Prayer runs from October through April and is held the 3rd Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. We can always use more help with setting up, decorating, and clean up; musicians; and hosting or helping to host the reception which follows each service. If you would like to help in decorating, just join us after church as we setup on the 3rd Sunday of the month. If you are a musician and want to join our ensemble, we meet at 3:45 p.m. before the service to rehearse - you are most welcome. If you wish to host a reception or help with same, there is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the parish hall.If you have been with us in the past, we encourage you to come again; if you have never attended Taizé Prayer, please join us on April 17th and give it a try - we hope you will find the experience most worthwhile.

You never know when you might meet…Thanks to the time, talent, and treasure of Trinity parishioners, CSG/Social Committee was able to orchestrate Trinity's additional celebrations of Easter. Flowers for the Children's Processional, Easter brunch, and an Easter egg hunt added beauty, food, and fun to the day.

In response to the positive reactions to the Committee's ‘guess which parishioner did what’ event in January, CSG is planning another fun coffee hour for early May. Stay tuned!

The next CSG meeting will be immediately following the 9:30 service on April 17. In keeping with the Committee's mission (to welcome visitors and newcomers while sustaining current members), it would be great if everyone would grab a cup of coffee and join us in the yellow room.

Fellow Trinitarians,

With great pleasure and excitement we announce that we have a verbal agreement with a new priest: John Drymon. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of our Search Committee, The Rev. Drymon has been presented as a candidate to the Bishop of Ohio and to our Vestry. We have been in communication with him and as I said, a verbal agreement has been reached. Paper work is now being prepared with a formal Letter of Agreement expected to be signed in the near future.  His projected start date is June 1.

Following is a short biographical sketch of both The Rev. Drymon and his wife Annie.

The Reverend John Drymon is a native of Arkansas. He is a graduate of Colgate University and the General Theological Seminary in New York City. As a student, he travelled all over the world, including to the Middle East, China, and Pakistan. After graduating, he served as Deacon-In-Charge and, after his ordination, Priest-In-Charge of St. Paul's in Batesville, Arkansas, until being elected rector of the parish in 2010. John has focused particularly on pastoral care and adult Christian education during his tenure at St. Paul's. He has served as both secretary of the Diocese of Arkansas and dean of its Northeast Convocation for the last several years. In the community, John has served on several boards, is a past president of the Rotary Club, and currently serves as chairman of the board for Family Violence Prevention, Inc., an organization that runs a women's shelter, provides counseling and legal advocacy for victims of domestic violence, and has recently opened the only shelter for male victims of domestic violence in the state. In his time off, John enjoys reading, fly-fishing, exercising, and cooking. His brother and sister (and her family) and his parents all live in Arkansas.

Annie Stricklin was born in Durham, North Carolina, and grew up in Texas, New Orleans, and Batesville. A graduate of Kenyon College, she has since worked as a freelance editor and fact-checker for publishing houses and private clients, and for libraries in Little Rock and Batesville. Annie leads one of St. Paul's soup kitchen teams and has served for many years on the board of the Batesville Community Theater and on the author selection committee of the Arkansas Literary Festival in Little Rock. She, too, is an avid reader, a lover of the arts, and a writer of fiction, non-fiction, and plays. Her sister and parents live in Little Rock, and her large extended family in Texas.

John and Annie were married in the spring of 2013. They have a nephew, a goddaughter, and two cats. One ministry they've worked on together in the past few years, to their great pleasure, is St. Paul's youth group, which meets every Sunday evening during the school term.

Thank you!!!  "Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night..." This motto was written for U.S. Postal Service employees. I'd like to reword and rededicate: Neither delays nor hurdles nor snags nor SNAFU's shall stop this group from their appointed task. I am referring to Trinity's Search Committee. For over a year they have, with perseverance and without complaint, "soldiered" on.

Trinity's heartfelt thanks to:

ENGAGING ADULTSAdult Faith Formation in the Church Today

Designed for clergy and lay persons, this training is being offered to address the transmission of faith. Such transmission to the next generation lies not in just in our work with children but rather with adults. As the flyer on our bulletin board states, "It's time to flip the paradigm". This workshop is being offered at 25 sites throughout the U.S.Because the Diocese of Ohio is sponsoring two of these workshops, we can attend for $35 (half of the usual cost).Even more exciting is the fact that one of these two workshops is being held in our neck of the woods -Perrysburg. This would be a great opportunity for several of us to attend what promises to be an excellent workshop at a low cost and close to home!WHEN:  Wednesday, April 13, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.(Morning hospitality provided. On own for lunch)WHERE: St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, PerrysburgFor further information, please see the flyer on our bulletin board. If you are interested in attending, please let Ginny Lee Pilstl or Jim Miller know.

Our thoughts and prayers

are with the family ofGeorge (Brad) Gabel who passed away on March 28, 2016.

A PRAYER FOR APRILGod, thank you for Spring and for the hope of warmer, longer, brighter days. Thank you for the coming of growth and life and birth. Thank you that things are coming awake in the world. This is what our calendar says, and we do see some signs that it is real. But we also still struggle with the residual layover of winter. It’s still cold out there! Now we ask that you would bring into reality all that belongs in this season. Your word says that we will have provision, and hope, and joy, and health, and loving relationships here and now in this life. Now we ask that what belongs in this season would become actual in our practical lives. Yes, it is already spring; but it is not yet spring as well. Let all things be in our lives as they are supposed to be. We hope in you and in your promises. We hope in your gift of Spring. We pray in Jesus name, Amen.
