Our Summer Reading Club for kids continues into September. With the theme “Strange... But True?” the Summer Reading Club adds a little extra fun to summer reading. Learn more at www.nvdpl.ca/children.

In honour of our summer readers, the Library is hosting a Summer Reading Club Celebration this August. Find event details below.

Summer Reading Club for TeensTeens! Join the Teen Reading Club online at www.teenrc.ca. The TeenRC is a virtual space where teens (ages 12-18) from the Lower Mainland can hang out online, discuss favourite reads, chat with authors, and enter a draw for an iPod touch!

Summer Reading Club CelebrationWednesday, August 15, 2:00pm - 3:30pm, Capilano Branch Library

Kids ages 4 to 10 are invited to our Summer Reading Club Celebration.Well over 3000 kids have signed up for “Strange... but True?” and have been reading daily all summer - that deserves a party!

Tony Prophet will provide some energetic musical entertainment. Dignitaries and sponsors will be on hand at the event, and refreshments will be served.

BC Day HoursAll locations of the Library will be closed on Monday, August 6 for BC Day. All other hours are as usual.

Sunday Summer ClosuresAll locations of the Library are now closed on Sundays for the summer. The Library will open again on Sundays starting September 9, 2012.
