4 THINGS EVERY MUSLIM MUST DO BEFORE SALAT:

Remove shoes. Perform wudu: hands, feet and

neck are washed to become pure for Allah.

A prayer mat must be used if not praying in a mosque.

Pray in the direction of Mecca.
