The Issue:

Airports Rely on the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) for Federal Funds

Federal Belt-Tightening May Cause a Shift to Passenger Facility Charges (PFCs) for Funding

PFCs are NOT subject to M/W/DBE Rules

Bottom Line: PFC Increases Should be Tied to Expansion of M/W/DBE Rules

We also need stronger local M/W/DBE programs

The Airport M/W/DBE Program

3

Key: The M/W/DBE Program Supports the Local Communities!

Local Jobs and Supports Local Development

Supports a Fair and Even Playing Field

Supports an Environment where Business Has a Direct Stake in the Airport and the Community
