07 Greater Kashmir SRINAGAR | November 16, 2015, Monday IS ANYBODY LISTENING ? Provide Adhar cards The field functionaries of the agency assigned the task to prepare Adhar cards seems to be in deep slumber as they have so far failed to collect the details and biometric data of residents in Lane 8 of Firdou- sabad, Batamaloo. Whenever the residents approached the concerned authorities, they were told to wait for the arrival of the team in the area but no one turned. Through the medium of this leading newspaper it is implored upon the concerned department to depute the team for collection and verification of data so that Adhar cards are provided to us at an earliest. Tahir Ahmed Resident Wrong pin code We the residents of Brein, Nishat, appeal the Chief Post- master of J&K to rectify the error in pin code of our area men- tioned on the official website of the department. Many a time people who search the pin code on the internet get it wrong as a result of which the mails and parcels don’t reach us. The cor- rect pin code is 191121. Residents Release teachers’ salary It has been over five months that we the teachers working in different schools are without salary due to non-release of NPS share by the government. The going has been much more difficult for the teachers especially those whose families mostly depend on their salaries. In the view of the fact that winter vacations are approach- ing and we request the authori- ties to ensure the pending salaries are released at the earliest so that we may be able to pay back the debt accumu- lated over the period of last five months. Shah Kaiser Footpaths in the City Centre (Lal Chowk) have become parking lots for handcarts of roadside vendors, leaving little space for pedestrians to walk along the busy Residency road. PIC: MUBASHIR KHAN/GK Appeal to JKSSB The tests scheduled to be held by the JKSSB for selec- tion to different posts on 29th of November clash with the examination of Junior Assis- tant posts of sub judiciary. We request the authorities of JKSSB to take in to consid- eration the fact that candidates will miss out on chances of get- ting jobs by failing to appear in one of the exams. Also dates for the court examination were announced much earlier. Yasir Ahmad Aspirant Exorbitant heating charges! It is so dismaying to note how private schools cheat par- ents taking anything and every- thing as excuse. Recently we were asked to pay money for (what the school calls) heating charge. We wonder how that is justified as only for a few days the school will remain open in winters. On top of that they are charging many times more than what they require to make the arrangements. Moreover it's a clear case of cheating to charge us trans- port fee for full December month when the bus service will be operational only for a few days. The school is invent- ing newer methods to extract money from us. Authorities have a duty to stop this fraud as they have been continu- ously playing with parents on one pretext or the other. Parents DPS Budgam Need expert help We the teachers from remote areas of Baramulla are in a state of confusion, as the authorities have asked us to submit a school data base online instead of soſtcopy or hardcopy. Whenever we try to submit the data on website www.ceobla.in, we encounter login problems. Now we request the con- cerned authorities to form a trained zonel level team to redress the problems faced by us in the process. Zahoor Ahmad Teacher Chop down Russian poplar trees We the residents of Wali Sahab Colony, Rawalpora, urge the revenue authorities to kindly get the poplar trees standing in our locality chopped as they become a nuisance during spring and summer for the elderly and the children for obvious reasons. A formal application was sub- mied to Additional DC Srinagar who directed the concerned lower rung officials to do the needful, who then visited the site. Now we approached Tehsil- dar, Chanapora who says that they have no funds for cuing the five poplar trees and asked us to arrange wood cuers on our own. DC Srinagar is requested to allot some money for this as the High Court has already given its verdict for chopping of all poplars. Abdul Rashid Resident Regularise daily-wagers This refers to long pend- ing demands of daily-wagers regarding their regularization. Successive political regimes have miserably failed in redressing their grievances and have only used their issue as a launching pad for seling their narrow political ends. Nobody is coming forward in order to solve their pending demands even though they have sig- nificantly contributed towards development and governance. Although the present dis- pensation has promised them a lot, but those promises should be given a practical shape. It is high time for the state govern- ment to frame a concrete policy for their regularization so that they can have a sigh of relief. Syed Mohsin Budgam Pipeline damages link road Roads are the backbone of a country and play a major role in the social and economic devel- opment. But unfortunately the PHE department uses them for laying of pipelines. The Palapora link road in Frissal Kulgam awaits macad- amization since its inception and has been ignored by the R&B department despite being the lone rescue road to the flood prone areas of the tehsil. The PHE department added to the miseries of the locals by digging the road through the centre with bulldozers for laying water piepes. Although they have covered the pipe but didn't level the road properly. They have leſt the stones scat- tered all around and a heap of soil and gravel runs along the centre of the road making it difficult for the people to walk or vehicles to ply. We request the R&B depart- ment and the concerned authori- ties to look into the maer. Aabid Rehman Pala, Frisal Kulgam Issue appointment orders We the selected candidates from district Kupwara for differ- ent posts in the CA&PD depart- ment have not been allowed to join our duties despite lapse of a long time since our selection by the authorities. Now we appeal the con- cerned authorities to issue formal orders in our favour so that we may be able to join duties and contribute to mitigat- ing woes of people as also earn our livelihood. Nazir Ahmad Warpora Traffic mess in Ganderbal We the inhabitants of Upper Garage Ganderbal are facing multiple problems due to halting of heavy vehicles on the main road during no-entry hours. Hundreds of vehicles are halted in our area which leads to excessive traffic jamming from Garage to Sirch stop, as also make it difficult for women and young girls to move in the area due to obvious reasons. Loaded tipper and trucks have also dam- aged the drainage system in the area while many a time ambu- lances are caught in mess. The mess could be easily avoided by halting the vehicles in their respective loading fields, be it Sindh river catchment or stone crushers, till no entry hours are over. It makes no sense to stop or park heavy vehicles over highway in inhabited areas. Despite repeated please the district administration has failed to pay any heed to our problems. Welfare Society Ganderbal Release annual increment We the contractual employ- ees of J&K ERA were geing 15% salary increment annually in July for the last three years as per the Governing Body Meet- ing decision of ERA held under the Chairmanship of Chief Min- ister of J&K. Unfortunately the said incre- ment has been stopped by the higher authorities of ERA for the reasons best known to them. As such, it is requested that the annual increment which is due from July, 2015 may kindly be released. Employees Delay final year exams The results of 2nd year BG annual were declared on 23/07/2015 and now the uni- versity authorities are going to conduct our final exams in this month Nov-Dec. How it would be possible for us to appear in final exams as our syllabus is still incomplete? We appeal the university authorities to change the deci- sion or give us some relaxation in syllabus so that we can prepare ourselves for annual exams. Junaid Khan Student Pepper-gas misery This refers to the indis- criminate use of pepper gas in downtown area. It has made the lives of people of all ages hell. Be it curfew, strike or Friday, people in our area are forced to lock themselves in their houses with their doors and windows shut and still they can’t avert the trouble of this noxious gas.
