A) List of Programs available
1. The “Programs available” list can be sorted
a) in alphabetical order
b) numerically ascending
c) according to mid-frequency
a) The programs are sorted in alphabetical
order analogous to the BICOM computer
handbook.
The therapy time also is indicated so
that the total time of the therapy can be
estimated.
b) The numerical order starts with program
number 10 and ends with 999. Then your
own stored numbers from 1000 to 1299
followed by the 2000 program numbers for
Weight reduction and Stop Smoking.
These are then followed by the low deep
frequency programs in the 3000 range and
the program sequences. Finally your own
program sequences from the program number
40000.
c) When the therapy programs need to
be selected or tested according to a certain
frequency range, choose the mid-frequencies
list.
The list starts with the low deep frequency
programs which are highlighted in green.
Additionally you can sort the programs for the
entire list = “All” in the special fields.

2. The selection of a therapy program is
done in the “Programs available” list.
A double-click onto a BICOM program in
the list “Programs available” will transfer it
to the list “Chosen programs”.
We do not recommend more than 6
therapy programs in one session. If you
add more than 6 programs to the “Chosen
programs” list a prompt appears reminding
you not to use more than 6 programs.
Changing the sequence of the programs
in “Chosen programs” is very easy:
Highlight the program to be moved. Using
a right mouse click open the window as shown.
Select either “Up” or “Down” to move the program.
If you entered any information in “Notes” in a
personalised therapy program (1000-1299), call up
this information by clicking “Info”
3. All programs of a program sequence, including
any pauses, are transferred to the
“Chosen programs” list.
A pause is necessary if an electrode or a
substance in the input cup needs to be changed.
4. An additional pause can be added by using
the “Pause>>” button. Highlight the program
above the place where a pause is to be
inserted and press the “Pause>>”button
5. Arrow keys: A simple click onto the arrow
keys shifts highlighted programs in both
“Programs available” and “Chosen programs”
in the indicated direction.
- The right arrow key copies a program out of
“Programs available” to the “Chosen programs”
list to the right
- The left arrow key removes a program
www.reson8.uk.com

from the “Chosen programs” list
You can achieve the same when double-clicking onto a program
A double-click onto a program in the list “Programs available” copies it to the list
“Chosen programs”.
A double-click in the list “Chosen programs” on a program removes it from this
list.
6. Deleting a program: Programs in the “Programs available” list cannot be
deleted. The same holds true for the “Chosen programs” list. Programs can only
be transferred to and fro using the arrow keys. To do this highlight the program
and use either the left or right facing key.
7. Individualise: Use this button to switch to
the “Individual therapy” window to make any
changes in a program. See chapter 8.
8. Information buttons: Highlight a BICOM
program in the list “Programs available” or
“Chosen programs” and click onto the info
button. The info file opens and shows the
placement of the electrodes.
B) Selecting the special fields
1. You can call up lists of the existing programs
according to certain special fields and program
groups with the help of the function “Special fields”.
Click onto the button, then a scroll window opens
up in which the possible special fields or program
groups are listed alphabetically.

2. A click onto the indicated “Special fields” will
call up the programs in the list “Programs available”
which can be used for this special field.
3. This list can then be sorted either
alphabetically, according to program
numbers or according to mid-frequency.
4. The program selection is then copied into the “Chosen programs” window
with either a double-click or by highlighting and using the right arrow key
C) Add a program
If the program number to be applied is
already known you can enter this number
directly into “Add program” and confirm
with enter.
1. A program number can be typed in and
confirmed with Enter. This means the program
number is immediately transferred to the
“Chosen programs” list but it may happen that
the program name for this number is not correct.
2. If the “Add program” window remains white this means the program number
is only for one indication.
3. When a program is highlighted in green it
means that this program number is used for
different clinical pictures and the indication
needs to be selected. To see the list, click on the
down arrow and select the indication.
4. If, for example, you enter the program
number 500 and click on the down arrow key
a window opens offering a selection of
indications. Make your selection by
double-clicking on the indication or
highlighting the indication and pressing OK.
www.reson8.uk.com

When entering a program sequence e.g. 10310,
press Enter and a window with a selection
opens up. Make your selection and confirm
with OK or double-click on your selection.
D) Creating and saving your own program sequences
You can use the BICOM optima Pilot to put
together personalized program sequences
which are then saved for future use. The function
for storing is the “Store P. sequence” button.
One or more pauses can be placed between
programs in your own personalized program
sequences, when the electrodes need to be
changed. To do this, highlight the program
above the spot where a pause needs to be
inserted and press the “Pause>>” button.
When the last program before a pause
finishes, a prompt opens giving you the
option to change electrodes or end the
therapy. Press “Stop” to end the program
or press “Next” to change electrodes and then
proceed with the therapy.
To store a program sequence press the button
Store P. sequence which opens the window
“Store program sequence”. First select the
special field in which the program should be
stored, then enter the name or indication of
the program. Information concerning input
and output cups and electrodes can be written
in the “Notes” section. To store the program
confirm with OK.
If a new program sequence is to be stored using
an existing program number the following prompt
appears.
www.reson8.uk.com

E) Search function
If you enter a term in the “Search key” such as
“kidney” and confirm with the return key, all
programs which contain the word kidney will be
shown in the window “Programs available”.
If you enter a syllable or a letter in this field
all programs containing this letter or syllable
will be listed.
F) Program information
The parameters for the highlighted program
can be seen on the lower part of the
“Programs available” and “Chosen programs”.
G) Start / Next / Stop / Pause
1. You start a program by using the “Start/Next”
button.
Please observe your patient’s reaction to ensure that not too many programs are
administered in one session.
If no program is highlight the programs run from top to bottom.
The therapy starts from any program in the list that is highlighted.
2. When you run the programs you can change
from a running program to the next program
below using the “Start / Next” button.
3. The Stop button stops the program. When
pressing the Pause button a running program
is interrupted. When pressing this button again
the program will continue without any loss of time.

4. When starting a therapy program for the
first time the modulation mat is tested in
the background.
If the modulation mat is not connected a
window appears to inform you that the mat is
not connected.
If the mat is correctly connected the
“Everything OK?” window appears.
To turn the mat test on or off click
onto “Extras, Options”………
…..then a window “Settings” opens. Under
“Device Settings” the mat test can be
turned on or off. The selected setting
will remain until a new setting is
made.

H) Time control / Time setting
When starting a program a clock appears on
the left side of the screen. The time runs
backwards and shows the remaining therapy
time.
You can change the therapy time using the
digital time prompt
The down arrow key shortens the time by
whole minutes. The up arrow prolongs the
program by whole minutes. The analogue clock is adapted to the digital time
setting
I) Input and output cups
BICOM optima Pilot has analogue to the BICOM
optima a channel 1 (main channel) and a
channel 2.
1. The input cup for “Channel 1” (connected to the BICOM with 2 black
cables or integrated in the BICOM optima mobil) is used to hold
bodily secretion or excretion. Their names are then entered manually in the
upper field.
The middle field is not assigned.
2. The input cup for “Channel 2” (connected to the BICOM optima
with yellow cables, integrated in the BICOM optima mobil and called
“External” in the Pilot) is intended to hold external supporting and fortifying
substances such as homeopathic remedies, gems, phytopharmaceuticals
etc. Their names are then entered manually in the upper field.
The second field automatically shows any substance selected from the
“Substance complexes”. See the following information.
3. The empty field at the bottom is used to enter the medium used to store
information e.g. BRT minerals or chip etc. The selected substance complexes or
manually entered substances for Channel 2 “External” can be deleted by
transferring all programs from the “Chosen programs” list back to the
“Available programs” list by either double-clicking on the programs or using
the left arrow key.

Important information:
1. Manually entering the substance used in the input and output cup is very
important. In this way the information is automatically stored in the
documentation.
2. Channel 2 only uses therapy mode A, which is solely for supporting measures
in a therapy.
3a. To place your own substances into the
channel 2 input cup or honey comb, it is
necessary to click onto „External” in the
therapy menu.
3b. If channel 2 should not to be used click on
„No“.
3c. To use a pre-stored substance complex in
the BICOM optima via channel 2, click on
“Substance complexes” in the therapy menu.
See the next chapter.
Chapter 8 – Substance complexes
There are three options for channel 2 of which
only „Substance complexes“ is relevant:
1. “Channel 2= No” means: Channel 2 is not
activated. The input cup has not been filled.
2. “External”: The channel 2 input cup or
honeycomb is filled with an external substance.
3. “Substance Complexes”: This calls up the

is
indicated in whole minutes.
Finally you can indicate in the same field whether interval or continuous
operation will be more beneficial for the therapy
If you choose “Stepwise increase” or
“Stepwise decrease” when setting the
amplification, the therapy time is
determined by the time per step.
In this case the field for setting the therapy time is hidden.
G) Amplification for channel 2
Channel 2 is an additional therapy module in which supporting substances or
digitised frequency patterns can be applied to accompany a therapy.
Therefore channel 2 is always set to therapy type A which cannot be altered.
There are three options:
“No” = channel 2 is not switched on
“External” = a substance must be placed in the “input cup for channel 2”
“Substance complexes” = the digitised frequency patterns are called up
from the BICOM optima.

Cable test
1. Use the cable test to test the cables regularly. The cable in the back of the
device can remain plugged in and the other end is then fitted into the
socket labelled “cable test” on the front.
2. The modulation mat and the chip memory device are automatically
checked by the electronics.
Battery
1. The battery is a consumable device and therefore not covered by the
warranty.
2. If the device is not used for a prolonged period and not charged either, the
battery will still discharge slowly as the electric clock draws current from the
battery. To save the battery it is recommended that the battery is released
and removed (and, if necessary, the power supply also disconnected from
the device). The time and date must then be reset when the device is first
used again. See also the chapter on accessories. When the battery level
shows 25% the battery needs to be charged
3. If the device is not used for a prolonged period and not charged, it may
become totally discharged. Charge the battery for 30 to 60 minutes before
using the device.
If the battery keeps on discharging itself an internal protective circuit steps in
to keep the battery from completely discharging. The device will switch off.
After connecting the mains supply the device will need approximately 20
seconds before enough power has been loaded.
4. If after turning on the device the following message appears: “Please turn off
your device immediately and charge the battery. In case the charge
indicator of the battery does not show any %-numbers please contact
REGUMED immediately.” either the battery is completely discharged or there

Chapter 15 – General information for treatment
Caution
Emergencies (including suspected emergencies) such as heart attack,
anaphylactic shock, diabetic coma, hypoglycaemic shock, apoplexia, etc. are
the preserve of emergency medicine and should not be treated primarily with
BICOM bioresonance therapy.
Purpose
The device is intended for use in medical and naturopathic practices to cure,
alleviate or prevent diseases and should only be used by approved therapists or
by trained assistants under their supervision. It is not intended to be used by
amateurs.
1. General basic rules
Do not use too many programs at once in one session. Depending on
the patient’s responsiveness and resilience, perform 3, up to a
maximum of 6, therapies.
Select therapy programs in line with the empirical values contained in
our literature and referred to at our seminars or following testing
and/or diagnosis.
Give the patient plenty of still high-resistance water to drink following
therapy.
Do not place electrodes on open wounds.
The modulation mat does not need to be placed on the skin. It can
be placed on clothing. It is designed like this for practical reasons.
Consequently the material has not undergone a cutaneous tolerance
test. The material used is biocompatible.
Do not allow the patients to drink any alcohol the day they receive
therapy.
Activate eliminating organs if necessary.
It is recommended that chronically sick patients should not be treated
at intervals of less than 5 to 7 days.
Patients with acute illnesses can also be treated daily.
Ensure the room is adequately ventilated.
Always keep the operating instructions at hand to refer to.
Do not allow untrained staff or those who are unfamiliar with the
device to perform treatment.
www.reson8.uk.com

It makes sense, and is even important, to ask the patient to report any
reactions which occur during therapy. These may be sensations of
warmth or cold, tingling, palpitations, pain, outbreaks of sweating or
sensations of pressure.
If possible, continue therapy with the same setting or the same
program until all the reactions which occurred during therapy have
subsided. There may be exceptional situations where the person
treating the patient must then themselves assess the risk of continuing
treatment such as with asthmatics, neurodermatitis sufferers,
epileptics, children with convulsions, etc.
2. Help with initial aggravation and hypersensitive reactions
Apply H therapy (no. 127) with the lowest amplification/ attenuation
or
H+Di (no. 128) with the lowest amplification/attenuation.
Give the patient plenty of still water to drink to eliminate toxins.
Search for possible therapy blocks.
Check the patient’s responsiveness and immune defence system.
If necessary, prescribe medication to support hepatic, renal or
bladder function and lymph discharge.
If unpleasant sensations such as dizziness or nausea or congestion in
the head occur during therapy or at the end of therapy, interrupt
therapy briefly and treat the patient with program 127 or 128 until they
feel better again. The original electrode positioning should be kept.
Therapy is then continued until the therapy stage is completed.
It should be noted here that slight initial exacerbation is thoroughly
desirable. Initial aggravation can generally be reduced by drinking
plenty of low-mineral water.
3. Particular considerations for pregnant women
Do not treat in the first three months of pregnancy for forensic reasons.
Do not specifically eliminate toxins, medication, etc. throughout the
entire pregnancy.
Do not place magnetic depth probes or magnetic articulated probes
on the abdomen.
4. Particular considerations for patients who are allergic to insect bites or have
an emergency set
Keep the emergency instruments handy after treatment just in case.
This applies with all other indications where these instruments were
needed in the past.
www.reson8.uk.com
______________________________________________________________________________
BICOM optima Pilot – Operations Manual © Copyright 2011 REGUMED GmbH 80
5. Patients with heart pacemakers
For forensic reasons do not place magnetic electrodes, and
especially magnetic articulated or magnetic depth probes, on or
near the pacemaker.
Do not place input and output electrodes on the implant.
6. Important considerations with neurodermatitis and asthma
The special recommendations in our literature and given at our
seminars should be observed with these particular symptoms.
Perform supporting measures beforehand and build up patient
physically.
Remove blocks and eliminate harmful substances carefully.
If necessary, prescribe abstinence from certain substances and
perform mycosis therapy.
Use allopathic remedies where this is absolutely necessary.
Finally treat neurodermatitis.
With asthmatic patients, keep the emergency instruments handy just
in case.
7. Particular considerations with autoimmune disorders (MS, rheumatism, etc.)
Never treat the immune system at the beginning
Determine and treat viral infections and mycosis or parasite
infestation.
Check organ function and begin with supporting measures.
Build the patient up physically.
Follow particular recommendations in our literature.
Test therapy time and amplification.
8. Important considerations with metal implants and if metal fragments are
present
Do not directly treat the site of the implant or of the fragment with the
magnetic depth probe or articulated probe.
9. Vital medication
Do not abruptly discontinue permanent medication or vital
medication but test whether they are tolerated.
www.reson8.uk.com
______________________________________________________________________________
BICOM optima Pilot – Operations Manual © Copyright 2011 REGUMED GmbH 81
10. Caution with permanent medication
Where patients are on long-term or permanent medication, they can
be expected to be blocked or their immune system severely
impaired. It is therefore recommended simply to perform basic
therapy at the start of BICOM therapy to allow the patient’s response
to be observed.
11. Anaesthetics and psycho pharmaceuticals and similar medication
When eliminating anaesthetics, psycho pharmaceuticals and
substances with a similar effect, alert the patient to the fact that road
safety may possibly be limited due to a temporary reduction in
responsiveness.
12. Hyperergic patients and those liable to anaphylactic shock
Do not start straight away by treating the allergen or toxin.
Ensure the emergency instruments are kept at hand.
Build up and stabilise organ function.
Take extreme care with the provocation test – only following clinical
safeguards.
13. Contra-indications with BICOM cupping electrode therapy
BICOM cupping electrode therapy should not be used on patients
with a high temperature
with advanced diabetes
with anaemia and leukaemia
with impaired blood clotting
with severe heart problems
with extreme tiredness and cachexia
during pregnancy
Take care also with bleeding cupping in patients with anti-coagulants.
Hygiene procedures, as mentioned and as required for dealing with active
tissue, should be observed.
14. Contra-indications with the magnetic field therapy (DMI – Dynamic Multi
Impulse Packs)
The DMI function should not be used on patients following organ
transplantation, haemorrhaging or with haemophiliacs and patients with a
www.reson8.uk.com

tendency to haemorrhage.
15. Contra-indications with organ transplants
Attention with organ transplants: patients must take immunosuppressants due to
the risk of rejection. Using Bicom could be contra-indicative. Treatment must
therefore be considered carefully. Take particular care with immuno-stimulating
programs.
If uncertain, do not treat with bioresonance.
16. Physical reactions in the therapist
If bioresonance therapy makes therapists tired, they may have a tissue block in
their body which should be resolved. You are therefore recommended to fortify
yourself physically from time to time. In doing so, you will do yourself a favour as
well.
17. Training
The visit of an introductory seminar is obligatory. We do recommend furthering
your knowledge by attending an advanced seminar. Please ask your country
representative for the dates.
