The message of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, may God assist him, in the speech of the 64th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People on August 20th, reiterates the commitment of Morocco in regards to Africa, and the royal decree to pursue and achieve common development and shared progress.

Hence, Morocco has become, in a few years, an economic bridgehead for many African countries, and wants to be also a provider of knowledge and added value in different strategic areas, particularly that of security. Because security is one of the major and sensitive topics on which relys the reinforcement of Morocco’s links with Africa.

Indeed, the Moroccan kingdom has put security at the center of its concerns for nearly two decades, and is positioned today as the safest country in North Africa and one of the most stable countries on the African continent.

Morocco can therefore play an important role in raising awareness, promoting and setting up a security framework according to the most effective and developed standards on the regional and African level. Because nowadays it is no longer possible to turn your back on the strategic importance of Security in the Social, Political and Economic Development of African Countries.

This is why the ASEC EXPO supported by INTERSEC « African Security Exhibition and Conference, wants to be a platform for exchanges, ideas, knowledge, experiences, tactics,

information and demonstrations on equipment and new technologies that would support and coach African security policies.

It will also be an opportunity for meetings in the form of conferences and workshops covering matters of security in its different forms by internationnaly renowned consultants and specialists in the different segments of security (Electronics, cyber security, fire management, territorial security ....).

In this context, a prominent place will be given to Moroccan and African security experts and officials in order to benefit from all the technological innovations that exhibitors and international manufacturers present at the ASEC EXPO supported by INTERSEC.

INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

• Africa has made progress in digital and mobile technologies, shaking up the banking industry, retail business and telecommunications.

These innovations in digital and mobile technologies affect both the productive sector as well as services, particularly the security

sector.

• Africa is now investing in infrastructure: 19 of the world’s 25 weakest infrastructure countries in the Global Competitiveness Report

of the 2017-2018 World Economic Forum are African.

• As a priority, an estimated investment of 324 billion EUROS in 2016 spread over 286 infrastructure projects.

The number of areas requiring professional security is rising along with infrastructure growth, thereforeleading to proportional increases in The number of disturbance-sensitive activities.

The development of technology radically changes the security sector in Africa, because technologies create opportunities for growth, as the improvement of infrastructure facilitates connections between hardware, software, and people.

We are at the heart of a paradigm shift in which technology is rapidly becoming smarter, more profitable and more and more applicable to security solutions. While the sector as a whole is always facing overwhelming pressure in terms of cost and efficiency, smart security becomes a priority choice.

Urbanization in Africa is leading to an increase in Population density, some socio-economic inequalities and an increase in crime rates.

The demand for solutions of effective safety remains high. An increasing number of sectors and regions are extremely sensitive to risks.

The increasing level of economic activity and prosperity in emerging regions is reflected in a bigger number of installations and sites requiring security services.

Infrastructure development leads to a demand for solutions from quality security in a increasing number of public places and in public transport.

Security previously handeled internally is being more and more delegated to private security companies.

Increased levels of tension in Africa, combined with Poetic and social disorders, natural disasters and political instability, amplify the need for flexible and effective security.
