The key thing to remember in Publisher is you do not type directly onto the page. You must create a textbox and type any text that you want in the textboxes. This is very important to remember.

Gazillions of templates are included in Publisher.

There is probably a template for almost anything you need to create. You can start with a template and modify it to meet your needs.

Also, the gray area around the white paper area is known as the canvas. You can drag images to the canvas and manipulate or modify them there. Or you may design a graphic from scratch on the canvas and then move it to the desired location.

Practice
