IntensityEach patient will receive a minimum of three hours of intense therapy, including physical, occupational, and/or speech, for five days a week or 15 hours a week (seven days) for an estimated total of 10 to 14 days.

Family supportFamily and caregivers are an integral part of every recovery treatment plan. We provide comprehensive education, physical training, advocacy training, and supportive counseling to prepare the family or the needs of the patient moving forward. We encourage family and caregiver participation throughout their loved one’s stay.

Neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychologyWe provide inpatients and outpatients with a comprehensive array of neuropsychological, behavioral medicine, and rehabilitation psychology services by a team of specialized experts.

The road to recoveryUpon admission, each patient is evaluated by our team to establish performance, activities of daily living, functional mobility, memory and attention, social adjustment, and safety. Results of the evaluation along with input from you and your family are used to determine the appropriate plan and goals for discharge. DISCHARGE TO HOME

(Higher is better)

We get you home soonerOn average, Lynn Rehabilitation Center patients show more functional improvement than patients at other rehabilitation facilities, both locally and nationally. With a strong emphasis on quality outcomes, we provide excellent services to help patients achieve the highest level of independence possible.

Unrivaled resourcesLynn Rehabilitation Center is part of an academic medical center, which provides a depth of resources unavailable to most rehabilitation programs. Physician members of the team are faculty of UHealth—University of Miami Health System departments of physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, pediatrics, and orthopaedics.

Team-based approachOur team of physicians, speech pathologists, nurses, physical, occupational, and recreational therapists, rehabilitation navigators, psychologists, professional, and support staff, work together to ensure coordination of care throughout recovery.

WHY CHOOSE US

AccreditationWe are one of only two facilities in Florida accredited to train physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians.
