NEW Argentine Malbec – JUST $10 a Bottle
A richly fruited arrival that’s bound to become a favorite
Argentine Malbec has quickly become one of America’s favorite reds. But at the $10 mark, it can be hard to find one that really shines. Lucky for you, we’ve knocked on cellar doors across Mendoza and finally found this estate.
“An incredible discovery for me.” – Robert Parker on Bodega Chakana
And, as you can see, we’re not the only ones. When Parker tasted their $25 estate red, he said: “If this were a Napa Valley or Bordeaux red, it would undoubtedly be priced between $150-$200.” Today, you can enjoy a NEW Malbec that they painstakingly crafted just for you. Full of deep, black-fruit flavors, with wonderful concentration, smooth tannins and a long, fresh finish, it’s more than deserving of a place in your cellar … and at your first cookout of the season.
Chakana’s Malbecs are “fabulous bargains,” says Parker. Hurry for this exclusive.

Fragrant, packed with peach and apple notes, and oh-so-drinkable, Pinot Grigio (or Pinot Gris, as it’s often called outside of Italy) is the perfect warm-weather white. These 12 vibrant beauties are all kept super-fresh under screw-cap closures – and today are ONLY $11.67 each.
Thirst-Quenching European Classics Italian Pinot Grigio has been “the success story of the early 21st century” (Jancis Robinson MW). Maestro Alessandro Gallici sends two standouts from Italy’s cool Venezie region: his peach-filled signature release and apple-and-almond-loaded Vina Baccana. Also from Venezie is Giuseppe Secchi’s crisp Il Pino – and don’t miss citrusy Campanula, sent by a top Hungarian specialist.
The Great ‘Gris’ of the New World While Italy may make all the headlines, “New Zealand and especially Oregon have begun to challenge Europe’s domination in the past five years,” says Tim Atkin MW. Your proof? A Wine Spectator ‘Best Buy’ Pinot Gris from Oregon’s premium Willamette Valley and a luscious 2012 courtesy of Marlborough star, Dr. John Forrest.

Suitable for any type of red (and even full-bodied, complex whites), it measures 11.8 inches high and can easily hold a full 750ml bottle of wine.
Exclusive Glassware – 20% OFF
To help you serve your wines in style, Dartington Crystal, English master glassmakers since 1967, have supplied us with a limited number of fine glassware sets and decanters – at very attractive prices, with FREE shipping to your door.
From the premier name in English crystal
Crystal Red Wine GlassesTall and elegant, with wide, tulip-shaped bowls, these impressive glasses are designed to enhance the aromas and flavors of your favorite reds (Cabernet, Malbec, Chianti and more). This is the perfect chance to restock your glasses shelf.
The Benefits of DecantingMost young wines will benefit from being decanted 30 minutes or longer prior to serving. The decanter exposes the wine to air, allowing all of its aromas and flavors to fully unfurl. It’s also handy for mature reds. Older wines often have sediment, and decanting ensures that it stays in the bottle (not in your glass). Just pour into the decanter and slowly rotate the bottle as you near the end. The sediment will catch in the shoulder of the bottle. Happy decanting!

A David to the Goliaths of the Australian industry, Sister’s Run makes tiny-production, hugely acclaimed wines from family-owned vineyards in Barossa. Their 2011 Bethlehem Block Cab already sports three gold medals (including a coveted Blue Gold and Top 100 spot at the Sydney International Wine Competition).
“ An exceptionally gifted winemaker”
That’s Australia’s top critic James Halliday on Elena Brooks, who grew up helping her parents make wine in Bulgaria before heading down under to take her passion to the next level. Her complex, barrel-aged, cassis-laden Cab certainly supports Halliday’s claim that “Sister’s Run is a brand to watch (and buy).” Today’s $75 savings seal the deal.
Small Is BeautifulEnjoy six handcrafted releases that over-deliver on quality and value
Elena made 2,385 cases of her Cab (compared to the millions churned out by Yellow Tail each year). We have just a few hundred to share – hurry.
Did you know that over 50% of wine sold in the U.S. is made by just five giant companies? With the sheer volume produced – Yellow Tail just made their billionth bottle – quality is rarely exciting.
Over the next four pages, you’ll meet six of our favorite small-estate specialists – individuals and families for whom making wine is more than just a living. The care they lavish on their limited-production wines shows in every sip. Yet prices remain very modest for the quality.
Top tip: take all six wines in the Artisans Collection on page 17. You’ll save over $50 – but you’ll have to hurry.

Hugues Meffre’s family has been making rich Rhône reds since 1550. You’ll find his Domaine du Vallon in the village of Plan de Dieu, just north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Same grapes here (Grenache, Syrah, etc.), same heat-trapping galet stones, same heady mix of black-fruit and wild-herb flavors too. Much friendlier price – just $14.17 a bottle for a gloriously rich 2012 (with gold medals at three of the Rhône’s top wine competitions). Too good to miss.
Rick Forman was “arguably Napa Valley’s first superstar winemaker.” Following in his footsteps, son Toby makes Chardonnays that are “all about refinement, subtlety and sheer class” (The Wine Advocate). You’ll find these qualities in spades in the Tobias 2012 – a wine Toby and his wife Dawn produce from her family’s little vineyard in Mendocino’s cool Potter Valley. Their 2012 has all the luscious fruit of the 2012 vintage (guava, apple, honeydew melon), plus lovely clove-and-caramel oak notes. An absolute steal at today’s price.
Dawn and Toby Forman with Lexi – the next generation of this proud California wine family.
Drawing on 464 years of family winemaking know-how, Hugues Meffre picks only the ripest, old-vine grapes for his superb Rhône red.

Paolo Masi epitomizes the small-scale producer. No website (though his wines win raves from online publications – Wine Spectator rated his Riserva their No. 1 ‘outstanding’ Chianti buy of 2013). He rarely travels (too busy among the barrels). If you visit, his lovely wife Anna Rita will show you around. And because Zagat Wine partner
Tony Laithwaite used to buy from Paolo’s dad, you’re assured a warm welcome – and the best price on Paolo’s succulent, cherry-and-chocolate-packed 2012.
Muscadet is France’s classic seafood white. But, overlooked in the rush for ‘more-of-the-same’ Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon, it’s in real danger. Vineyard area here has shrunk by a third in the last five years. And yet, quality is at an all-time high, thanks to dynamic locals like Jérémie Huchet (above). His fresh, citrusy double-gold-medalist
has everything you look for on a label: Sèvre et Maine (top district); sur lie (extra brioche complexity); 2012 (amazing vintage). Do Jérémie (and yourself) a favor and dive into this exceptonal-value white.

With Gallo’s recent acquisitions in Washington (and rumors of other big names following suit), it’s down to small estates like Bergevin Lane to fly the flag for handcrafted wines. Established by two friends in 2002, this Walla-Walla outfit produces just a few hundred cases each of mostly Bordeaux- and Rhône-style wines. When we visited early last year, they agreed to
make this exclusive Merlot just for our customers. Look forward to tons of ripe, juicy black fruit. Great structure too, and really classy oak. Save $45 too – don’t delay.
The best deal and the most enjoyment — all ONLY $14.17 a bottle These limited-production wines provide the perfect antidote to big-brand boredom. Behind each one is someone’s passion and reputation (including ours). We guarantee you’ll be impressed – but you will have to be quick.

Top-Vintage Red Burgundy
NEW 2009 Burgundy Single-vineyard exclusive from a family that made its first Pinot in 1596
Pride and joy of the Dufouleur family, the tiny Clos de l’Hermitage produced fantastic fruit in 2009 – a vintage Wine Spectator rates an overall 95 points.
With its passionate small growers, dizzying patchwork of appellations and fascinating terroir, Burgundy is home to the world’s most sought-after Pinot Noir – and fans know how special a single-vineyard (or ‘clos’) bottling can be.
Only $22.99 each, this barrel-aged exclusive is from 14th-generation winemaker Yvan Dufouleur’s prized Clos de l’Hermitage, in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges – where the 2009 vintage is “among the very best of the last 25 years,” says Clive Coates, MW.
This is classic red Burgundy. Spend some time with the aromas before you sip it – enjoy fresh red fruit, cola, black tea and spice. A soft texture and lively acidity frame the ripe, spicy cherry and berry flavors – and make this a natural choice for spring lamb or duck.
Don’t wait to order – ONLY 50 CASES

… our tasting team fights over who’s going to take home the open bottle. That was the case with this delicious Dry Creek Cab. So it came as no surprise to us when judges at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition awarded it GOLD earlier this year.
Hush-hush deal on a single-vineyard triumph
We can’t name the producer, but we can tell you they’re one of Sonoma’s most sought-after ‘garagiste’ wineries (truly tiny- production stuff). And we were able to secure a few hundred cases at a very special price.
The ripeness of 2012 shines through in the rich blackberry and currant flavors. Ten months in fine oak adds notes of sweet baking spices. Decant before serving with a juicy steak.
Hurry for your 27% savings — this won’t hang around.
