• A group has its own: – Page – Messages – Group information – Member lists – Shared files

Private groups Indicated by the lock icon

• There may be times when it’s appropriate to have a private group.

• Posts to a private group always show up as “private” with a lock icon next to it.

• Any replies remain private to the members of that group.

• Nonmembers of a private group cannot access any of the private pages or posts.

• Check to make sure you are not blocked from Yammer as a social media website; if so, seek permission to use the site for business purposes.

• Accept your email invitation – Others in your department can request an invitation by visiting the landing

following sections: – Basics – Profile – Password – Notifications – Preferences – Don’t forget your photo – that’s a great networking tool when you want to
