1) Facts, Figures & Awards

The FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013 was a tournament of attacking football. Every team tried to score goals, which led to an average goals per game figure of 4.25, and endeavoured to win their matches instead of trying not to lose them. The only goalless draw was the semi-final between Italy and Spain, but even that match was one of the most entertaining encounters of the tournament, with a lot of chances for both sides – even in extra time. Certain technical and tactical aspects were very decisive for the most successful teams throughout the tournament.
