God’s People Long to Be Restored Psalm 60 (ESV) 1O God, you have rejected us, broken our defenses; you have been angry; oh, restore us. 2 You have made the land to quake; you have torn it open; repair its breaches, for it totters. 3 You have made your people see hard things; you have given us wine to drink that made us stagger. 4 You have set up a banner for those who fear you, that they may flee to it from the bow. Selah 5 That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer us! 6 God has spoken in his holiness: With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Vale of Succoth. 7 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet; Judah is my scepter. 8 Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.” 9 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 10 Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go forth, O God, with our armies. 11 Oh, grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! 12 With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.

Lord’s Supper
The Lord's Supper is a church's proclamation that we are in fellowship with God and one another through Christ, a commemoration of Christ's death, a believer's act of joyfully acknowledging that we have been offered mercy through faith in Christ who forgives and restores, and a renewal of the believer's commitment to Christ and his people, thereby making the church one body and marking it off from the world.
Participation in the Lord's Supper is designed for believers who have been baptized by immersion and are faithful members of Woodlawn Baptist Church or another church body of like faith. This morning if you are not yet a believer, please let the elements pass you by. We hope our "proclaiming the Lord's death until He comes,” through participation in the Lord’s Supper, serves as a proclamation of the gospel to you that you might trust in Christ for salvation.
Global
Today we will pray for North Korea.
Population: 23,990,703
1.48% Christian
1.0% Evangelical
69.3% Non-Religious
40% Unreached People Groups
The Korean revival of 1907 began in the church in North Korea. People in those days called this area “Jerusalem of the East.” Most people fled to the south during the Korean War or died as martyrs. Very little is known about the underground church of today, only that it survived and is growing amid great suffering and danger. The government holds up to 100,000 Christians in labor camps. Possessing the Bible, saying “God” or “Jesus”, and meeting as believers are all punishable by death. Pray that North Korean believers persevere in what is probably the most difficult country in which to be a Christian.
Local Church
We will also pray for Glen Oaks Baptist Church and their pastor, George Guillory. (7200 Maplewood Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70812) (email: GHGjrgobc@cox.net)
Woodlawn Baptist Church For matters related to our own local body, see weekly prayer guide distributed via email during the week.

Offering
“It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). One of the greatest joys for Christians is being able to give cheerfully, generously, and sacrificially. There is tremendous satisfaction that comes from seeing the fruits of our labor multiplied many times over in the lives of others. Money is a powerful thing, and when we use it well, it has potential to do incredible good. We hope that we’re able to excel in the grace of giving. And so having been found faithful with little, God will be pleased to entrust us with more.

Vacation Bible School
The theme for this summer’s VBS is “In The Wild”. Registration is now open! Make plans to join us the week of June 3-7 as we take you on a wild adventure seeking out real-life encounters with Jesus in Scripture. Kids will go from bewildered to believing as they get “In the Wild.” The central verse is John 20:31 focusing on Jesus as the Messiah. If you are interested in helping or if you have any questions about registration, see Lyn Bailey.
Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC)
Do you want a better grasp on God’s Word to be able to know it and apply it? In the Spring of 2020, Woodlawn Baptist Church will be partnering with a number of local churches to provide Counseling and Discipleship Training. This training time will be designed to equip people to be better handlers of God’s Word in Counseling and Discipleship situations. If you are interested, see Bro. Travis for more information.
