The drive towards a Circular Economy forms the backdrop to this year’s World Waste to Energy City Summit.
With a firm focus on advanced conversion technologies, the summit addresses the need for innovation – not just
in technology, but in policy, finance and partnership models – in order to accelerate the growth of the waste to
energy industry worldwide.
I am delighted to welcome an outstanding speaking faculty of no less than 60 industry experts to share their ideas
and experience with our audience.
I am particularly pleased to feature two huge international project opportunities currently seeking proposals in
Malaysia and Kuwait
I would also like to thank our summit partner UKTI for bringing a large delegation from Emerging Europe to the
summit. As countries in the region work towards 2020 landfill diversion and renewable energy targets, the market
opportunity for waste to energy development is accelerating, and all UK companies should be sure to attend the
UKTI Breakfast Briefing on Thursday morning.
Partnerships are essential to getting ACT projects off the ground, and this year we are facilitating one-to-one
meetings alongside the summit. If you haven’t already organised your meeting schedule, please see a member
of the Rethink team.
I would like to thank our corporate sponsors Atkins, Kobelco Eco-Solutions, Dong Energy, Broadcrown, Advanced
Plasma Power, Ebioss Energy, Westinghouse Plasma and Nabarro for their support for the summit, as well as our
exhibitors LeRoux & Lotz Technologies and all our event partners.
As we look ahead to next year’s event, please take the time to share
with us your thoughts, feedback and suggestions so that we can
continue to build the summit as an annual meeting place for the
international waste-to-energy industry.
I wish all of you a fruitful and enjoyable summit.
Yours,
Jennie Moss
