OBJECTIVES OF THIS COURSEThis course has following Specific Objectives:

To introduce students to basic concepts of workshop technologies ,machine tools. To gain basic understanding of various engineering practices in machining, forging ,casting, welding , wood working and electrical circuits.

To get hands on experience on various machines. To learn the use various tools.

TEACHING AND EXAM STRATEGIES The course will be taught via Lectures, Audio

Visual Presentations, Practical and Tutorial

Sessions. The practical work and demonstration

designed to complement and enhance practical

skill and the student’s appreciation of the subject.

Students will be evaluated through exams,

quizzes, class participation, note book and

assignments on the basis of OBE system.

The parts made in machining, welding, woodworking, electric fitting & gear making are assembled together to make an assembly.
