It is a big company for elderly and people withphysical and cognitive disabilities
The 3rd workshop we performed in
ARGÜELLES CARE CENTER
Argüelles is a care center for people with severe physical and cognitive disabilities (encephalitis, brain injury, stroke…)It has 20 people who receive daily care, they are from morning until evening, and another 20 people are outpatients for specific treatments.
ARGÜELLES CARE CENTER
The care includes personal care assistance (cleaning, food), medical care, rehabilitative therapies (physiotherapy, speech therapy), psychological and social, personal, family and occupational activities.
All patients have had a stroke, encephalitis, head injury…… From 18 to 65 years
VOLUNTEERS SENIORS
The seniors volunteers for this workshop were not the same as the ones from San José.
The three volunteers seniors were students at the University of Seniors in the Complutense University of Madrid

Senior University created an NGO called Network Intergenerational solidarity
Is an NGO of the Complutense University
STEPS OF THE PROCESS (I)
1. Visit the center with the seniors for detected needs. In this moment the professionals and people with disabilities said they wanted a workshop about Fourth Centenary of the death of El Greco

3. Intervention. Two sessions:
1) History about the person El Greco and Greco's paintings
2) Music at the time of El Greco

2. One training session with the seniors
VOLUNTEERS - WORKSHOP
• Where The Greco was born?Island of Creta
• Where´s The Greco buried? The church Santo Tomé (Toledo)
3rd experimental Workshop with Seniors
Intersession the person with disabilities had to find information about different aspects of El Greco (“homework”)
Other day we celebrate the carnival with them

Summarizes some of the strengths or positive aspects of the experience
On a personal level has been a very fantastic experience, I believe that for people with disabilites has been interesting as it has broken its daily routine.
Summarizes some of the weaknesses or negative aspects of the experienceI haven´t experience with disabilites. For me has been a little stressful. I haven´t pedagogical training. It would be interesting to have some preparation to communicate to the people with disabilities
CONCLUSIONS
• Excellent reception by the director of the center and occupational therapist.
• All the senior volunteers:- Never had experience with dependent or disabled people.- They have said that it has been a fantastic experience- They want to continue working on the project
• All the person with disabilities: They say…- They are very satisfied with the workshop- They liked the relationship with the seniors- They want to participate in more workshops with the seniors- The workshop has been short, they want more days
THE BEST CONCLUSION IS
• The seniors people want to continue making this type of activity when the project ends
• They think going once every three months to do a similar activity to which we have made during the project
