Marilyn is a self taught wood turnerwho works out of her home studio inKincardine Ontario Canada. She startedwood turning after her creative needswere rejuvenated through boatbuilding with her husband. Marilynbuilding with her husband. Marilynstarted as most of us do looking for acreative outlet, making things to sell atfairs and craft shows. Influenced byother woodturning artists she found anew focus and a change in direction toexploring the limits of the craft.Marilyn started with the turned formMarilyn started with the turned formcutting them apart and introducingcolored epoxy, a staple she came toknow in boat building, in thereassembly process.

Marilyn has taken her craft to the USA,Australia and throughout Canada ondemonstration and teachingexcursions. Marilynexcursions. Michael is internationally recognized asone of the world’s most creativeturners. He is a self taught turnerturners. He is a self taught turnerwhose work ranges from functional towhimsical; from furniture to sculptureart. Michael’s pieces are recognizedfor their technical mastery, inventivespirit and humor. His work tells thestory of his life, places, people,architecture, and environment he hasarchitecture, and environment he hasencountered. Michael has a fascinationwith the turned form and how it can bemanipulated which excites him aboutthe future possibilities of woodturning.
