ResultsIndicate that Steps for Success online program is an effective complement to any stress management initiative and an effective tool in its own right.

AbstractCognitive Behaviour Therapy, Behaviour modification and Humanistic treatment interventions are long established, as is their increasing use through integrated, eclectic programmes. What is relatively new are attempts to offer such provision online. This study assessed the effectiveness of Steps for Success an online stress management program.

MethodThe program was undertaken by employees from the public sector who completed all eleven sessions. It was a six month longitudinal study with users completing a self-review of their psychological state each month. They were asked to circle the descriptors that best reflected their psychological state. These comprised of both positive and negative terms, such as ‘Balanced’, ‘Uncertain’, ‘secure’, ‘Stressed’, ‘Helpless’ and ‘Unworthy’. Positive
