2014/2015 School Year

I am an Arizona native!!! I attended Arizona State University where I received my B.A. in Elementary Education and Northern Arizona University where I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. This year will be my eleventh year teaching and third year as a part of the Riggs family. I am looking forward to building a community within our classroom, where each student’s passion for learning can blossom.

When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to read, travel, go the movies, visiting the BEST theme park in the world….DISNEYLAND and of course, cheering on MY ASU SUN DEVILS !!!!!!

I am looking forward to an excellent year and I am excited to be your student’s teacher! I’m also looking forward to meeting everyone, and working together to make this year incredible!

Hi, my name is Miss Salum! I am getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. I have student taught in second, third, fifth, and sixth grade classes. I am excited to experience fourth grade this semester.

I am a graduate from Hamilton High School and grew up in Chandler. I am a sports fanatic! I have played volleyball for 10 years and coached for 5. I enjoy movies, working out, and spending time with my family.

I am excited to not only help your students learn but also learn from this experience! Thank you for this opportunity.
