YOUTH PEACE FORUMPEACE & MDG PAINTINGS
THE YOUTH PEACE FORUM The forerunner of the Youth Peace Forum was the Supplementary education program launched in 1984 at the Durban Jewish Club, for Black matriculants when their schools were closed and there was great concern that there would be a major problem for these young people if they did not have an opportunity to write their matric. The program was funded by the Daitz Foundation from inception and it continues to do so to date.
In 1996 the structure changed and the Youth Peace Forum was founded. It works with students from more than 100 schools looking at the issues and challenges that the students want help with. Here you see them in action with some of their work.
This Tuesday , we are having another youth Peace forum . This time we will be creating special flowers for peace gardens in our schools and communities
