Upper Barn, Tretire, Herefordshire HR2 8NB
Tretire is a pretty rural Hamlet found 12 miles
due south of Hereford, just off the A49. Ross on
Wye lies 5 miles to the east and Monmouth 8
miles to the south.
Tretire is particularly well placed for good road
connections into south Wales, the Midlands and
the south east with the M50 at Ross on Wye
leading to the M5 and the A449 travelling south
towards the M4.
Tretire itself is a pretty, rural area surrounded by
rolling countryside and outstanding southerly
views towards Monmouth and Symonds Yat.
Facilities can be found just a few miles away in
the neighbouring village of St Weonards where
there is a village store with post office, and a
primary school. The larger towns mentioned
above have the usual range of facilities.
A very rare opportunity to purchase a detached
stone barn set in a stand-alone position having
elevated, far reaching 360-degree views.
Some works have already been undertaken
including creating of a new access drive which
has created a unique rural approach down a
single and private gravelled track into the
property.
On 3rd July 2018 Planning Permission was granted
for ‘proposed conversion of redundant farm
buildings into a dwelling, creation of garden,
vehicular access and track’. A copy of the
Planning Permission is available from our offices
or on the Herefordshire Planning website www.herefordshire.gov.uk. Please see the
Application for any conditions and reserved
matters.
By prior appointment through the selling agent.
Please remember to bring PPE equipment
for viewing any internal areas.
Mains water and electricity are available nearby
(they are not currently connected). Buyer to
install private drainage system.
Please make any further enquiries direct to the
Vendor’s Solicitors;
A restrictive covenant will be placed on the
property restricting the use to a single private
dwelling house as detailed in the Planning
Permission 180404 dated 3rd July
2018. Development shall be carried out strictly
in accordance with the approved plans.
VAT is payable on the purchase price at the
standard rate unless the purchaser completes a
VAT1614D certificate.
Navigate to postcode HR2 8NB. Pass Tretire
church on the left hand side and continue along
the lane where the entrance to the site will be
indicated on the right hand side, along the
outside of the adjacent field.
