Who are the affected person(APs)?

• Lose, as a consequence of the project, all or part of their physical and non-physical assets

• Impact may be permanent or temporary• Exposure to health and safety hazards

What is involuntary resettlers?

• People of all ages, many of whom have no option but to give up their assets

• World Bank policy designates involuntary resettlers as requiring assistance

Why Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) is need?• To ensure that people who are physically or economically displaced as a result of project end up no worse off and better off than they were before the project was undertaken
