All Research guided by a methodology. Methodology irradiates the whole process of

a research. Explore the trends of educational research

within the education context of Bangladesh. To examine the methodological

approach conducted on various aspects of education over the last few decades in Bangladesh.

Background of the Study

Inevitable part of an investigation process Methodology contributes the fulfillment of the

purpose. It’s help to examine and increase the

scope of the area of interests. An attempt to further explore the research

methodology applied in different arena of education

in Bangladesh. will guide to take necessary measures to

enrich future research approach.

Nature of the Study:

This study will be conducted mainly

quantitative method. It is based on

document analyses, evidence of

available educational research in

Bangladesh since independence of the

country.

Methodology:

Population: All educational research reports of Bangladesh since 1971 will be the main

population of this study. In this regard, the organizations and academic institutions such as,

IER (DU)MoE, MOPEM, IER (RU), DPE, NAPE,NAEM, BANBEIS, UNICEP,

ADD, Concern, RDRS, ASA, BIOS, FREPD

and so on will be in the population frame.

Sample:

In order to make sure the feasibility of the study, to total period will be organized with 4 decades (1971-80, 1981-90, 1991-2000 and 2001-2011). 25 research studies from every decade will be collected as sample of research. These researches will be selected randomly after categorizing the population list.

Data collection tools:

A checklist will be developed to evaluate the research studies collected from different organization. This checklist will be developed focusing research methodology and particularly nature of the study, sample and sampling technique, tools, data analyses etc

Data analyses: Quantitative analysis will be employed

for numerical data. In this analysis I will find out the simple statistical data such as frequency distribution, percentage etc. The SPSS software will be used for clarifying numerical data.
