On the territory of Stambolovo municipality, habitats of the protected Astragalus thracicus or

Astracantha thracica species included in Bulgaria’s Red Book were found.

The lands of Stambolovo municipality have been populated since ancient times and are rich of archeological monuments – Thracian cult sites, tombs, etc.

Many Thracian rock niches and shrines have been found in the municipality.

But what would be the land without people – our biggest wealth!!!

Ten chitalishte institutions function on the territory of Stambolovo municipality and provide committed and unfailing services. Libraries make an inseparable part of them. In the past, they started with several books on small dusty shelves and today, our libraries store thousands of volumes.

Working with children and educating them to love books and reading has been a priority in

our activities throughout the years.
