• What is the biggest challenge for a new student midwife/ newly qualified Midwife

• What challenges do you see the University/Trust have in the future.

• Why did you become a midwife

• Better to have them written down and even if already answered show that you have prepared some questions.

Clinical presentations/meetings Common presentations usually high profile challenges

• Resilience

• Human factors

• Continuity of care

• Diversity and Demographics /Equality of services

• Ensuring safe care

• Clinical Governance

• Recommendations from local reports (CQC) or National issues

Real life events/stories are great – remember confidentiality

Pictures can say a thousand words.

Presentations are like the NEWS at Ten

• Introduction – the question asked and what you will be presenting

• Presentation – short sharp and to the point ( I minute = 1 slide)

• Conclusion – what have you just said as a summary.

• Have handouts of your presentation available or how to access content
