We  started  using  an  online  management  tool  and  “volunteer  logis>cs”  database  called  Volgis'cs.    

Using  this  new  system…  •  Mul>ple  administrators  can  look  up  volunteers  for  a  

project  and  then  log  volunteer  service  hours  at  any  >me,  and  from  any  device  with  internet  access  

•  Our  organiza>on  can  capture  volunteer  contact  informa>on,  availability,  skills,  interests,  projects  and  service  hours  all  in  one  protected  place  

 

Having  students  work  with  individual  volunteer  editors.      

 *  Frustra>on  of  differing          expecta>ons  and          mo>va>on  levels    *  Tough  to  coordinate          two  schedules  plus              regular  communica>on    *  A  large,  ongoing  volunteer          commitment  of  >me,  energy,          pa>ence,  discipline  and  work

     Alumni  currently  aXending  UST  help  us  to  prepare  our  magazines  for  

distribu>on  once  each  quarter,  by  packaging  and  

addressing  bundles  of  magazines.    

 

Program  alumni  and  individual  

supporters  helped  to  promote  the  fall  fundraiser  and  “bundle”  group  dona>ons  within  their  workplaces  and  social  circles.  

 The  new  handbook  includes:  •  Volunteer  program  mission,  vision  and  value  statements  

•  Overview  of  all  programming  •  Volunteer  opportuni>es  and  posi>on  descrip>ons  

•  Risk  management  policies,  procedures  and  expecta>ons  

•  Resources  and  support  •  Thank  you  to  our  volunteers   Parent/Student  Liability
