WTW Activities

Classwork (Becomes Homework if not completed in class)

Day One Teacher Station:· Previous sort test· Learn new sort· Color the backs of your cards and cut them out

Day Two Closed Sort/Word Hunt:· Complete a closed sort independently (in notebook)· Look in your independent reading book to find words that fit your spelling feature. Record the new words in a closed sort in your notebook.

Day Three Vocabulary Work:· Look up the words in a dictionary and record the definition and part of speech.

Day Four Sentences:· Write each word in a complete sentence, varying sentence structure. (One sentence per word.) Make sure that you use context clues to convey the meaning of the word.

Day Five Three Times Each:· Write each of your words in pencil three times. Underline the spelling feature in each word.· Complete a closed sort and glue words onto mat.· Complete the Apply the Skills page
